SERVICE DEPARTMENT. If VCTC intends to make any vehicle or equipment purchases, and wishes the Storey County Service Department to maintain and repair such vehicle or equipment, the Storey County Service Department must first indicate, in-writing, its approval as to the make, model, type of vehicle to be added to its maintained fleet, and must first inspect the vehicle for safety and mechanical soundness, report its finding in writing and approve adding the subject vehicle to its maintenance fleet. If no such approval is provided, the vehicle will not be repaired or maintained by the county Service Department.

SERVICE DEPARTMENT. 1. Rate (for tours baggage handling): As of the date this Agreement is signed, the Company will, at the time of negotiations with the Tour Organizers, negotiate a tour baggage handling price equivalent to a sum of : (2002) - On date of signing the agreement: $2.30 in & $2.30 out. - Following twelve (12) months: $2.40 in & $2.40 out. - Following twelve (12) months: $2.50 in & $2.50 out. This article does not apply to transportation crews unless the baggage fee is part of the contract with the Company in which case the fee appearing in said contract shall apply. Furthermore, it shall not apply to contract(s) agreed to prior to the signing of the new Agreement. The parties agree that it will not be forced to refuse this business due to this article, but the Union will be given reasonable access to relevant documents which support the basis of the Company’s decision that such tours would have been lost if the above charges were imposed. It is further agreed that the Company will make every effort within reason to contract, subject to this formula. 2. a) The Company will, at the time of negotiations with the Convention Organizers, negotiate a box handling charge equivalent to a sum of two ($2.00) dollars.

Notwithstanding Article 35.01, the parties agree that this will not affect those group contracts signed prior to the ratification and signing of this agreement.

It is further agreed Management will make every effort within reason to contract, subject to this formula. 35.03 Any Group contract that includes baggage handling shall be charged according to the rate set out in Article 35.01.
SERVICE DEPARTMENT. 21.01 Service Express Attendants will be guaranteed the following minimum gratuity of $2.35, in and out, for each bag on tour. The parties agree that in the case of lower rated tours (for example, church groups, student groups, etc.), the Com- pany will not be forced to refuse this business due to this article, but the Union will be given reasonable access to relevant documents which support the basis of the Compa- ny’s decisions that such tours would have been lost if the minimum tour baggage charge was imposed. (a) Service Express Attendants shall be guaranteed a mini- mum gratuity of $2. 15 per person on Key Tour pack- ages: (b) Service Express Attendants shall be guaranteed a mini- mum gratuity of $2.00 per person on “Can-Am” Tour packages: 21.03 The Service Express Attendants who are assigned by the Company to deliver newspapers in accordance with the Company’s practice shall be paid an additional twenty-five cents ($0.25) per hour on any shift in which they do so. In addition, such persons shall also be required to deliver other guest-related items. 21.04 The Company agrees to meet and discuss annually with the Union the gratuity items set out in Article 22.01,
SERVICE DEPARTMENT. The Service Department normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm. This 12 hour period shall be covered by 8 hour shifts. If it is found necessary to schedule work at times other than normal working hours, such work will be rotated among those employees qualified to do this type of work as determined by management. The Company agrees to give forty-eight hours (48) notice of a change of shift, excluding promotion or demotion.
SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Journeyman Mechanic 1 (a) Diagnose mechanical problems using Detroit Diesel Engines and/or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Transmission testing equipment; (b) Possess acceptable knowledge in repair of all Detroit Diesel Engines and ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Automatic Transmissions and components within established time standards; (c) Burn and perform minor welding; (d) Instruct others in the performance of mechanical tasks; (e) Read and understand blueprints, drawings and technical bulletins; (f) Maintain favorable customer relations as evidenced by an absence of legitimate customer complaints; (g) Supervise other journeymen and/or apprentice mechanics in the field a required and provide evaluations thereon; (h) Undertake fieldwork assignments as required; (i) Prepare accurate service reports; (j) Control warranty in the field; (k) Possess a working knowledge of all Detroit Diesel and ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ products and systems. (l) A fully qualified technician shall possess a general knowledge of on-highway truck repairs and maintenance procedures.
