Survey control and setting out of the works Clause Samples

The 'Survey control and setting out of the works' clause defines the responsibility for establishing and maintaining accurate reference points and measurements on a construction site. Typically, this clause requires the contractor to use provided survey data or benchmarks to mark out the positions and levels for all elements of the works, ensuring that construction proceeds according to the approved plans. By assigning clear responsibility for these tasks, the clause helps prevent errors in location or alignment, thereby reducing the risk of costly mistakes and disputes over the accuracy of the completed works.
