Teacher Coverage. For teacher health coverage for the 2020 and 2021 plan years, the Employer contributes an amount equal to ninety-five percent (95%) of the teacher-only premium of the Minnesota Advantage Health Plan (Advantage).
Teacher Coverage. For teacher dental coverage, the Employer contributes an amount equal to the lesser of ninety (90) percent of the teacher premium of the State Dental Plan, or the actual teacher premium of the dental plan chosen by the teacher. However, beginning January 1, 2019, the minimum teacher contribution shall be thirteen dollars and fifty cents ($13.50) per month.

If a teacher is absent in an elementary school and no per diem substitute is available, the absent teacher’s class shall be distributed among the teachers in the school for the instructional day. The Committee shall pay the teachers who cover the absent teacher’s class at the per diem substitute rate with each teacher covering receiving a fractional share in proportion to the number of pupils added to his/her class. 6. a. Teachers shall be eligible to volunteer for class coverage only during their regular daily preparation period. (1) At the secondary level, a daily teaching assignment may be replaced with class coverage not more than nine (9) times during a school year without compensation. If the teacher is reassigned to classroom coverage from a duty more than nine9) times, he or she shall be compensated in accordance with the provisions from Part 4 above. (2) At the elementary level, an unassigned duty period may be used for duty coverage not more than nine (9) times during a school year without compensation. If the teacher is reassigned to classroom coverage from a duty more than nine (9) times, he or she shall be compensated in accordance with the provisions from Part 4 above. (3) If a teacher is administratively required to lose a preparation period, the administration may replace same with a preparation period that day without additional compensation.

Teacher Coverage. For plan year beginning on January 1, 2014, for teacher health 25 coverage, the Employer contributes an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the 26 teacher-only premium of the Minnesota Advantage Health Plan (Advantage). Beginning on 27 January 1, 2015, for teacher health coverage, the Employer contributes an amount equal to 1 ninety-five percent (95%) of the teacher-only premium of the Minnesota Advantage Health

Teacher Coverage. A. Teachers performing a class coverage, middle school lunch duty, middle school morning and afternoon bus duty, or morning student supervision shall be compensated at the rate of $.72 per minute. Two on-call lists will be maintained and posted in the main office of each building. One list will contain a period by period listing of the names of teachers who wish to be given priority for coverages and the other list will contain the names of the remaining available teachers. These coverages will be assigned in list order using the volunteer list first. When no one on the volunteer list is available, assignment will be made to the next person in rotation from the non-volunteer list. Dates of coverages will also be reported on this list. Refusals may be accepted with the understanding that they will be asked first on the next needed coverage. B. Teachers performing duties authorized by the administration beyond student contact time shall be compensated at a rate of $8.00 per quarter hour or part thereof. C. The teachers shall have the option of selecting comp time on a minute for minute basis in lieu of monetary compensation for class coverages or duties. Utilization of acquired comp time requires administrative approval. All comp time must be used during the contractual year in which it is earned. Any unused comp time shall be reimbursed at the designated rate earned.
