Video Display Terminal. The Company shall agree to take every reasonable step to: 1. Ensure the VDT's have adjustable keyboards and screens; 2. Minimize lighting glare; 3. Proper design of seating arrangements. Additionally, a pregnant employee shall not be required to operate such VDT equipment against her will and such employee may elect to take an unpaid leave of absence for the length of the pregnancy as provided in Article 12. Further, the Company will make a good faith effort to re- assign the VDT work of a pregnant Employee where it does not adversely affect the operation of the Company.
Video Display Terminal a) In order to provide a safe and healthy work place for its employees, the County agrees to order VDT equipment that is safe and efficient to use and prevents health hazards such as eye strain and eye fatigue. b) The County will provide instruction in the proper operations and adjustments of VDTs and VDT workstation equipment.
Video Display Terminal. Employees who are required to regularly work directly with video display terminals (VDTs) shall do so under the following conditions: (a) Employees who operate VDTs on an ongoing basis shall have a ten (10) minute reassignment of duties away from the VDT after each hour of continuous operation. Continuous operation shall be defined as operation of the terminal without interruption from members of the public, the need to consult with supervisors, the need to access student paper files and other similar activities. (b) A pregnant employee who uses VDT equipment or is exposed to chemicals not proven safe for pregnancy may assume alternate available work for which she is qualified, or elect to take an unpaid leave of absence. An employee assuming alternate work shall be paid at the step between A and D of the pay grade of the new assignment that results in the least loss of pay but shall maintain the benefit plans associated with the previous assignment. (c) The College shall make every reasonable effort to: (i) ensure the new VDTs have adjustable keyboards and screens; (ii) minimize lighting glare; (iii) arrange for an annual test for radiation or harmful emissions; (iv) comply with the Workers' Compensation Board publications entitled "Guidelines for Video Display Terminal Workplaces" and "Working with Video Display Terminals".

The State shall provide instruction in the proper operation and adjustment of VDTs and VDT workstation equipment to Unit 17 employees who are required to use VDT equipment a significant portion of their time on the job. Instruction may include the use of VDT video training tapes and/or the “Computer Users Handbook”. The Union will encourage employees to properly use VDT equipment. B. The State shall take action as it deems necessary to mitigate glare from the workplace such as, rearrangement of the workstations to avoid glare on terminal screens from windows and ceiling luminaries, or providing anti-glare from light sources. The following equipment shall be made available as the State deems necessary to all employees that use video display equipment, but not limited to, document holders, adjustable chairs, adjustable keyboards, computer tables and supports, and foot and wrist rests. C. Upon request by the union, the State agrees to meet to review and make any revisions or additions to the State’s ergonomic guidelines for video display terminals.

Employees who are pregnant and under a doctor's supervision may request temporary reassignment from VDT equipment at no loss of pay, status, or benefits for the duration of the pregnancy if alternate work within the school/work location for which the employee is qualified is available. A joint commission shall be established and composed of equal representatives of the Employer and DTU/UOPD. The Commission shall determine the feasibility of an explore the options for implementing a comprehensive study of the work stations and job safety of Employees working on VDT’s, and such other matters that relate to the use and operation of VDT’s by Employees in the bargaining unit. The Commission shall review the possibility and cost of obtaining experts in the area of Computer Ergonomics. The first meeting of this Commission will be within sixty days of the date of this Agreement. After the initial meeting, the Commission shall submit a schedule of meetings to the Superintendent and the President of DTU. The Commission shall make periodic reports and recommendations to the Superintendent and the President of DTU.
Video Display Terminal. Operators will not be expected to work continuously at a terminal in excess of one hour periods. Operators are encouraged to briefly interrupt their video display terminal work (for example, by standing, stretching, etc.) at the end of every hour before resuming work. Approved breaks and lunch periods may also be used to interrupt the work periods.

Rental Unit for Sale: Occasionally a Property may go on the market for sale. In such cases Agent reserves the right to show the Property to potential buyers. Agent will make every effort to schedule the showing at a time that is convenient for Tenant, so as not to interrupt your vacation. Tenant’s cooperation is appreciated. Consumable Products: Paper products, laundry/dish detergent, personal toiletry items and food staples are not included in the Properties. Linens: Linens are included with all Properties for reservations up to 2 days or more. If linens and towels are damaged or missing there will be an added fee to replace and/or clean those items. Linens and towels should only be used for sleeping in and drying off. Damaged or missing bath towels are $25, hand towels are $15, wash cloths are $10, sheets are $30, pillow cases are $15, and bath mats are $20. Damaged items might include makeup, blood stains, excessive dirt, tanning lotion, and human waste.
