Winter Operations. The Parties recognize that there may be some units within the Seller’s Generation Fleet that operate primarily during the months of April through October of each year. The Parties further recognize that additional costs may be incurred in order to commence operations of certain units during the winter season after cessation of operations for a time, and that certain modifications to such units such as installation of inlet air de-icing equipment may be needed. Upon Buyer’s request, Seller shall provide Buyer an estimate of such additional costs for the modifications necessary for winter operations. Should Buyer agree to incur the additional costs and/or to pay the costs for necessary modification, Seller shall make such necessary modifications. The additional fixed costs of such modifications upon their completion shall be included in Monthly Capacity Charge.
Winter Operations. From approximately mid November to approximately the end of March each Winter: Two (2) twelve (12) hour shifts from Sunday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. This shift arrangement applies to designated Truck Drivers and Heavy Equipment Operators only.

Partial Call-in: When a partial call-in coverage of plow or salt routes is required (ie. all operators are not required or a number of employees are already at work on their regular shift) the selection shall be made on a rotating basis according to the yard. Overtime lists shall be made up of those employees in each yard of those employees wanting to be called-in for overtime to other yards for winter operations. The list shall be signed before the commencement of winter operations. Overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis according to the lists.

Winter Operations. During winter operations within the Public Works Department, if the need is identified to call back employees to work overtime, subject to seniority provisions and legislative compliance, dayshift employees be contacted between the hours of 3:30 am and 3:30 pm and afternoon/night shift employees will be contacted between the hours of 3:30 pm and 3:30 am. who are called back must report to work within the requested timeframe to satisfy operational requirements. This provision will apply for the entire week, Monday to Sunday (inclusive).

Rule 19 of the Master Agreement shall be modified as follows: One crew will work four days on, followed by three days off. Daily schedules will be determined by operational schedule. Permanently assigned crewmembers of the Day Boats shall be guaranteed 42 hours of work or pay. Those employees that do not have sufficient seniority to work aboard the Day Boats during winter operations will become DRAEs and the provisions of Rule 27.01 (E) shall apply. Overtime for work on assigned days off: When a crewmember holding a bid job on the Day Boats has worked a regularly assigned workweek and is required to work on his/her days off, he/she shall be paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half for the time worked. Overtime for work when on a 4 days on/3 days off schedule. When a crewmember assigned to the Day Boats has worked in excess of 42 hours per work week, or more than 12 hours in a day he/she shall be paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half for the time worked. The Employer will make every attempt to provide a 30-day notice to the Union of the commencement and completion of winter operations. The Employer shall give at least ten (10) working days written notice. This supplemental agreement will govern the wages, hours and terms and conditions of crew members assigned to the M/V KENNICOTT. Any renumbering of contract rules necessitated by this supplemental, whether or not specifically incorporated herein, shall be regarded by the parties as purely administrative detail and such renumbering (or lack thereof) shall not diminish or impair the substantive terms of this agreement. Unless specifically modified by the terms of this Supplemental Agreement, all provisions of the parties’ Master Agreement governing Southeast System operations shall remain in effect. This supplemental agreement is intended to address the unique operating conditions and capabilities of the M/V KENNICOTT. If any rule or subsection of the Master Agreement conflicts with this Supplemental, the provisions of this Supplemental shall apply.
Winter Operations. Designated staff will be responsible for contacting bargaining unit members when needed to perform winter operations. Effective 12/1/24, t staff designated to be Snow Commander(s) will be paid $30.00 for each day on call, starting with the first snow fall in November but, no later than November 15th until March 1st. The designated Snow Commander(s) will be paid on a daily basis for any snow events after March 1st.
