WORK HOURS AND WORK WEEK. 1. The regular work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday consisting of forty (40) hours per week. A regular work day shall consist of eight (8) hours per day. 2. For any work day which occurs between July 1 through September 1 and when school is closed because of inclement weather, a full work day shall consist of seven (7) hours, but payment shall be made on the basis of an eight (8) hour day. 3. All employees shall be granted a daily sixty (60) minute lunch hour on all scheduled and unscheduled work days.
WORK HOURS AND WORK WEEK. A. The regular work hours each day shall be consecutive except for interruption for two (2) fifteen (15) minute coffee breaks (normally one (1) in the morning and one (1) in the afternoon) at times to be scheduled by the Supervisor and a lunch period to be scheduled by the Supervisor (duration covered below). Water Utility employees work from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., inclusive of a thirty (30) minute lunch period, except that the Pumping Station Operators work three (3) rotating shifts, six (6) days on and two (2) days off, from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., and 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., all inclusive of a one-half (1/2) hour lunch period. 2. Road Division employees work from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., inclusive of a one (1) hour lunch period. 3. Recycling and Sanitation Division employees work from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., without a lunch period. 4. Parks and Forestry Division employees work from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., inclusive of a one-half (1/2) hour lunch period. 5. Sewer Utility employees work three (3) stationary shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. five (5) days on, two (2) days off inclusive of a thirty (30) minute lunch period, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. six (6) days on and two (2) days off, 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. six (6) days on and two (2) days off. 6. ▇▇▇▇▇ Country Club Utility employees work from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., inclusive of a three- quarter (3/4) hour lunch period. The afternoon break is taken in conjunction with a half hour (1/2) lunch. C. The Standard workweek for unit employees is presently forty (40) hours from Monday through Friday, except that those employees listed in Paragraph B above working six (6) days on and two (2) days off, who are presently working staggered schedules covering Monday through Sunday with a standard work year of two thousand one hundred ninety-two (2,192) hours.
WORK HOURS AND WORK WEEK. Section 1: The current practice and policy regarding work week, hours of work and overtime will remain in effect except as otherwise specifically set forth herein. Effective upon the execution of this collective bargaining unit agreement, all Laundry Department employees shall work a seven day rotating schedule. This shall include working Saturday, Sunday and official Holidays that occur on weekends as part of their base schedule. Employees who work in patient clothing shall continue to work their current schedule. This requirement will not apply to Engineering Department employees prior to this date.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (b) (applicable to part-time employees only) The normal or standard work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours per day and the normal or standard full- time work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one- half (37½) hours per week except in those hospitals where agreements already provide a normal or standard work day of less than seven and one-half hours and a normal or standard full-time work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this article.) Part-time employees shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time work week. The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (c) Where the Hospital and the Union agree, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Labour, other arrangements regarding hours of work may be entered into between parties on a local level with respect to tours beyond the normal or standard work day in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 25.01 of the collective agreement.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Standard Work Week (a) Except as provided below, the standard work week for Full-time Employees shall normally consist of 35 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7 hours. (b) The standard work week for certain Full-time Employees, including but not limited to, technical Employees, shall normally consist of 37.5 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7.5 hours.

  • Work Hours Except in emergencies, the standard work week of full-time unit employees shall normally consist of five (5) days of eight (8) hours each, exclusive of lunch hour. Each employee shall be assigned regular starting and ending times, which shall not be changed without prior notice. Should an employee be required to work during his/her lunch hour, the length of such interruption shall be counted as time worked unless other arrangements are made with his/her supervisor.
