ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. This schedule covers employees of Property Operations and Maintenance Department.
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. The City will provide non-steel-toed safety/work boots and rain coats to GIS Technicians, Junior Civil Engineers, Assistant Civil Engineers, Associate Civil Engineers, Senior Engineers, and other individuals in classifications in the Engineering Department that visit construction sites. Safety/Work boots and/or raincoats will be replaced at the City's expense when they are unserviceable, not more than twice per employee per year. Total cost to the City shall not exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250) per pair of work boots and raincoat.
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. Gloves will be provided on a one-pair-for-one-pair exchange basis as the gloves wear out. With reference to existing coveralls in the plant, the Company agrees to maintain status quo on the same. If a dispute arises as to whether or not a need for coveralls exists, the Union, along with the Manager of Industrial Engineering or his/her designee, shall conduct an investigation in the plant in order to arrive at a mutual agreement as to the issuance or non-issuance of coveralls. It is agreed that a National Union Safety Representative, who is familiar with Canadian Safety Law, will be permitted, with advance arrangements, to participate in safety inspections as required at the Plant in company with Union and Management representatives. The Plant Safety Chairperson will accompany Safety Occupational Health Representatives from the Government on inspections and tests resulting from specific call-in complaints. The Chairperson will also accompany the Representatives on routine inspection. The Company will disclose, upon request of the Plant Safety Chairperson, the identity of any known harmful chemicals, materials or physical agents to which employees are exposed, including any information regarding remedies and antidotes for such chemicals. The Company will continue the practice of posting on location, signs identifying safety hazards. Copies of individual data sheets will be provided to the Plant Safety Chairperson based upon specific identified requirements. The Company will provide training for the two union members of the Plant Joint and Safety Committee and a Second and Third Shift Union Representative in how to use Company equipment for testing of noise, air contaminates, air flow and light levels. This equipment will be kept updated and functional. The Plant Safety Chairperson will be provided with access to this equipment and reference material. The Company will provide the opportunity to the two members of the Plant Joint Health and Safety Committee to be present at the initial presentation on safety, including films, to employees. The Plant Safety Chairperson will be afforded the opportunity to Company Safety Training Programs and The Company, when conducting tests in the plant, will advise the Plant Safety Chairperson of the results of such test. Whenever a physical examination or laboratory test has been made for the Company, a report thereof will be given to the personal physician of the employee involved upon the written request of such employee. ...
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. Employees in the Engineering Department who possess a professional license or certificate not required by their title will receive annually, in addition to his/her base salary an educational incentive as set forth below: A. This incentive will be paid in equal increments through the employees’ regular bi-weekly pay. Compensation to commence within thirty (30) days after notification is made to the Department of Employee Relations. B. Successful attainment of the certification will be evidenced by submission to the County Engineer and the Department of Employee Relations of a copy of each I.M.S.A. certificate. C. Those employees who qualify for this financial remuneration must notify the County Engineer and Department of Employee Relations within sixty (60) days of the obtainment and awarding of each I.M.S.A. certificate. Failure to notify will result in the employee not receiving the added benefit to his/her salary until sixty (60) days after the employee actually provides said notification. D. The County will reimburse the employee for the cost of the registration only, upon passing the required test for each certification.

  • Engineering Forest Service completed survey and design for Specified Roads prior to timber sale advertisement, unless otherwise shown in A8 or Purchaser survey and design are specified in A7. On those roads for which Forest Service completes the design during the contract, the design quantities shall be used as the basis for revising estimated costs stated in the Schedule of Items and adjusting Timber Sale Account. (a) A7 to show Purchaser’s performance responsibility. (b) The Schedule of Items to include costs of survey and design, as provided under B5.24, and adjust Timber Sale Account, as provided in B5.

  • Department Review The parties shall resolve disputes through written submission of their dispute to the Department’s Contract Manager. The Department shall respond to the dispute in writing within ten (10) Business Days from the date that the Department’s Contract Manager receives the dispute. The Department’s decision shall be final unless a party provides the other party with written notice of the party’s disagreement with the decision within ten (10) Business Days from the date of the Department’s decision. If a party disagrees with the Department’s decision, the party may proceed to subsection (b) below.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. Both the Board and the Association encourage teachers to seek professional improvement. In order to assist teachers in extending and improving their skills the following plan will be implemented. B. All Teachers will be encouraged to earn a Masters degree or coursework toward additional certification that is in the field of education and within a teacher's discipline, or in an area that is beneficial to the school. C. The Board will pay teacher's expenses for undergraduate and/or graduate credits, specialty and additional endorsements under the following conditions. 1. In allocating budgeted funds priority will be given to the teachers in a “masters” program and those teachers who need to complete coursework for certification. 2. All courses must be approved, in advance, by the Superintendent. Courses for recertification purposes must be approved in advance by the certification committee and the superintendent. The teacher shall receive a written reply from the Superintendent within ten (10) days of application for course approval (See Appendix D). 3. Each teacher will be eligible for up to six (6) semester hours of credit or, if enrolled in a matriculated, organized program, 12 semester hours of credit for undergraduate will be paid if part of a graduate program or graduate courses per contract year. The Superintendent reserves the right to request intent to take courses prior to final budget preparation. Failure to communicate such intent at the time of the Superintendent’s request may jeopardize course reimbursement due to a lack of funding. 4. The administration will pay in advance the cost of the course. Presentation of evidence of satisfactory completion of the course (A grade of B or better) is the responsibility of the teacher. In the event the course is not completed or not completed satisfactorily, the teacher will refund the payment received in advance and in accordance with Appendix D – attached. 5. Teachers who resign shall not be eligible for reimbursement after the date of resignation Teachers who have been reimbursed for any course work toward securing a masters within the last two (2) years of employment shall be required to continue their service to RSU # 78 for an additional two (2) years (twenty-four months) or will be required to reimburse the district the cost associated with Masters courses taken prior to departing, Such reimbursement to the district shall be remitted via payroll deductions as arranged between the District and employee, unless the failure to continue employment is due to illness, disability, death, or reduction of position. 6. Reimbursement will only be for tuition and fees. It will not include reimbursement for mileage, books and other expenses unless the teacher is required to take the course by the administration.
