Article E. The Company and the Union agree that it is the purpose of the grievance procedure to amicably and fairly settle any complaints and disagreements concerning the employees, the Union, and the Company, without, so far as possible, resort to arbitration. The parties further agree that the settlement of any grievance shall not conflict with the provisions of the Agreement, and that it is of the utmost importance to address complaints and grievances as quickly as possible. It is the mutual desire of the patties that complaints of employees shall be adjusted as quickly as possible, and it is agreed that an employee has no grievance until he has first given the Company the opportunity to adjust his complaint with the assistance of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ if required.
