BEREAVEMENT PAY Sample Clauses
The Bereavement Pay clause establishes an employee's right to receive paid leave following the death of a close family member. Typically, this clause outlines the eligible relationships (such as spouse, parent, child, or sibling), the amount of paid leave granted (often a set number of days), and any procedures for notifying the employer and providing documentation. Its core function is to support employees during a period of personal loss by ensuring they do not suffer financial hardship while attending to family matters and grieving.
