Campus Assignments. A. Bargaining unit members acknowledge they are hired and employed by the College, not a specific campus. The College reserves the right to assign the primary campus at which bargaining unit members shall teach and fulfill their duties and responsibilities. Bargaining unit members shall not be required to teach courses away from their primary campus except when one or more of the following apply: ▇. ▇▇ mutual agreement between the bargaining unit member and his or her immediate supervisor. 2. Course enrollment on the primary campus is insufficient for the faculty member to teach a full load on the primary campus; ▇. ▇▇ is deemed necessary for a faculty member to teach away from the primary campus in order to balance course offerings across campuses; 4. When course coverage is temporarily required due to an instructor being rendered unable to teach due to illness, injury, separation from employment, or other unforeseen circumstances; 5. When due to unforeseen circumstances, the College deems it is in the best interest of students or necessary for the efficient operation of the College. In the case of (2)-(5) above, the College shall, whenever possible, first solicit volunteers before involuntarily assigning a bargaining unit member away from his or her primary campus. In the case of (4)-(5) above, no such bargaining unit member may be required to teach away from his or her primary campus for more than one (1) semester. When a bargaining unit member is involuntarily assigned to teach at more than one campus per day under this section, he or she shall be reimbursed for mileage incurred traveling from one campus to the other, and back if applicable.
Campus Assignments. 10.1 It is understood that employees are employed by the Portland Community College District and not for a specific campus. Management will determine the initial assignment of a Faculty or Academic Professional's location at the time of employment. Only Section 10.3 of this Article is applicable to temporary Faculty.

In the event a redistribution requires a reduction in position(s) at a campus or administrative center, or an addition in position(s) at a campus or administrative center, the College may reassign employees in the affected classification as follows: 1. The College will post the position being added for five (5) working days. Employees in the affected classification interested in transferring to the position may apply during the posting period. 2. If employees in the affected classification timely indicate an interest as specified above, the opportunity will be filled. 3. If an opening at another campus or administrative center is created by application of the above process, or if no one applies for the lateral transfer, then the least senior employee in the affected classification based at the campus or administrative center being reduced will be transferred to the position created by the above lateral transfer process or relocation of positions, whichever is applicable. That least senior employee will be given two (2) weeks’ notice of his/her transfer. 4. Temporary or contract workers in the affected classification at the campus or administrative center being reduced will be transferred prior to involuntarily transferring an employee as described above.

Campus Assignments. Where an Instructor is assigned instructional duties and responsibilities off-campus such that the is unable to return to his normal residence at the end of a work day and must therefore reside temporarily in another location, the Instructor shall be provided reasonable notice of such assignment.   • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Room Assignments 6.1 Rooms shall be occupied only by the residents(s) assigned to them by University Housing. 6.2 Assignments are non-transferable. Subletting is not permitted. 6.3 Keys will only be issued to the authorized residents of the assigned housing. University Housing staff are not permitted to issue a key to a friend, family member, or designee. Residents are prohibited from giving their keys to anyone who is not an authorized occupant. 6.4 Occupancy is defined as the number of people assigned to a bedroom; residence halls are either single or double occupancy, Wolf Village and Wolf Ridge are all single occupancy bedrooms, ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ Village, Western Manor and Coastal Quarters are single or double bedrooms. 6.5 Students or employees assigned to ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ Village or Western Manor may have a spouse and/or legal dependents assigned to the apartment with prior approval from University Housing. Friends, extended family members or other NC State students are not eligible to be an additional occupant unless the individual is a spouse and/or legal dependent of the primary applicant. The total number of residents, including the primary resident and all additional occupants, in one apartment cannot exceed the occupancy limit for the type of apartment, as outlined on the University Housing website. 6.6 NC State housing assignments are made without regard to age, color, disability, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status. 6.7 Roommate Preferences: While University Housing strives to meet resident’s requests for a preferred roommate, this Agreement does not guarantee such an assignment. Agreements will not be terminated and refunds will not be issued if preferred roommate requests cannot be granted. 6.8 Room/Roommate Changes: Assignment changes must be first approved by University Housing. Residents wishing to change a room assignment or roommate must complete the room change request in MyPack Portal. Submitting a request does not guarantee a change will be granted. Residents changing 6.9 University Housing may move residents for consolidation, disciplinary action, facility failure, or other reasons in response to unforeseen circumstances at its sole discretion. 6.10 Residents moving from one University-owned housing facility to another are bound to the applicable agreement/community standards/costs for the new facility assignment. Residents may also be responsible for any applicable termination charges resulting from the assignment transfer. 6.11 A qualified student with a disability who seeks reasonable accommodation in housing must register with the Disability Resources Office. The student should notify Housing by indicating the requested accommodation on their application or in a written request to the Housing Office by May 17 for the fall semester and November 2 for the spring semester. Applications submitted after these dates will be considered, however, NC State University cannot guarantee that it will be able to meet late applicants’ accommodation needs, including any needs that develop during the semester. Once the information is received, it shall be reviewed with relevant NC State officials, as appropriate (e.g. Disability Resources Office, Campus Health Services, the student’s academic advisor, etc.) and the student shall be informed of the decision in writing. 6.12 NC State Employees assigned to ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ Village or Western Manor and University Housing student staff seeking housing accommodations including Assistance Animal approval must work through the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity (OIED) for housing accommodation approval.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in such a fashion as to be accessible by employees. The posting shall include the title, pay range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days. Section 2. In connection with Section 1. above, employees who have met a twelve (12) month time-in-title and location requirement shall be afforded the opportunity to submit to the Company a form on which they may identify their interest in being considered for vacancies which occur in the Bargaining Unit. Section 3. When a vacancy is to be filled from within the Bargaining Unit, Management will consider all qualified candidates who have forms on file relating to the vacancy in question. In selecting the employee to fill the position, the Company will first give due consideration to the candidates’ qualifications and past performance and where those factors are relatively equal, in the judgment of the Company, it shall consider seniority. Section 4. The Company agrees to provide the Union, in writing, the names and titles of all candidates selected under this Article, by the fifteenth (15th) calendar day after any such selection is made. Section 5. Nothing in this Agreement shall be applied or interpreted to restrict the Company in the exercise of its right to hire, promote or transfer; and, to the extent the needs of the business require, to have Bargaining Unit work performed by its supervisory personnel, or its right to make sales assignments without limitations.

  • Room Assignment The Landlord will assign rooms in accordance with the current assignment practice set by Residence Services. The Landlord reserves the right to transfer or move Tenants when deemed necessary. Tenants failing to arrive within 48 hours of the specified move-in date, without informing Residence Services of the delay, will lose their room assignment.
