Classroom Conduct. The instructor is responsible for classroom conduct, behavior and discipline. Any action that would disrupt or obstruct an academic activity is prohibited. The instructor may refer situations involving classroom misconduct to the ▇▇▇▇ of Instruction or Student Services Office for additional action under the “Student Code of Conduct” as published in The Pathfinder–UNM Student Handbook. Use of classrooms or other facilities during scheduled activities is limited to enrolled students and University personnel. Use of these facilities during nonscheduled periods should be arranged with the appropriate department or other division of the University. Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited in all classrooms and teaching laboratories, including seminars.
Classroom Conduct. Teaching Artist will be respectful and courteous in all interactions with students and Client staff, including respecting the cultural, religious, and economic differences, ideas, and values of students and Client staff. Teaching Artist will not initiate or engage in unsupervised contact with students, and will only communicate with students in the classroom. Teaching Artist will not engage in any inappropriate communication with students such as verbal abuse, swearing, conversations that refer to sexual content or drugs, or racist, sexist, or homophobic language.

Disruptive or distractive behavior and disrespect will not be tolerated and will result in appropriate disciplinary action according to the CASD student code of conduct. Student cell phones may not be used in class unless specified by the teacher. Use of a cell phone without permission will result in the phone being given to the principal for the remainder of the day.

Cell phone use is not permitted during any instruction time. Cell phone use is allowed only during official breaks and lunch. Students who continue to use cell phones, tablets, headphones, or other devices causing inattentiveness ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ classroom instruction, after 3 warnings from the classroom instructor will be dismissed from classroom with no refund.
Classroom Conduct a. All learners must take responsibility for their conduct and accept the consequences of not doing so.
b. Learners must look after their books and files. Text books are the property of the School and learners are responsible for any damage or loss incurred.
c. A high standard of neatness is expected. Learners must take pride in the appearance of their work.
d. Learners must meet deadlines and hand assignments in on time. Homework is an integral part of the education process and must be completed. Notebooks to be signed daily by parent/guardian. It is the responsibility of learners to ensure that their homework bag, reading books, P.E. kit and swimming costume are at school when necessary.
e. If learners are absent from school, it is their responsibility to catch up any work that has been missed.
f. Learners must obey educator’s instructions and not interrupt the lesson, or inhibit the opportunity of others to learn.
g. The following will be regarded in a very serious light and will not be tolerated:
i. copying another learner’s work
ii. cheating during evaluation exercises
iii. leaving the classroom without permission
iv. disrupting the lesson v. any form of vandalism such as writing on desks or walls or defacing books.
Classroom Conduct. All students are required to behave in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner throughout any and all of TurningWest’s programs and events and within any classroom or subsequent communication among TurningWest students and faculty. I understand and agree that if I violate this standard of professionalism and respectful behavior, I may be discharged from the program and will forfeit all fees paid. Any student behavior that disrespects such diversity will not be tolerated and will incur the penalties described in the paragraph above. HARASSMENT POLICY: TurningWest is committed to maintaining a training environment that is free of harassment. Harassment is defined as any behavior that is unwelcome, unwanted, and creates an uncomfortable or hostile environment. This behavior can be in the form of sexual advances and/or requests, jokes, comments, offensive remarks, offensive pictures. Harassment can also be verbal abuse or bullying. These behaviors are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. If any harassing behavior is observed or experienced, I will notify an appropriate TurningWest faculty or staff member. TurningWest will thoroughly and promptly investigate any and all claims of harassing behavior and commits to protecting your privacy as much as possible in the course of the investigation. Claims of harassment that can be verified will result in immediate action. Harassing behavior by a student that has been verified will result in immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination from the program with no refund of tuition. Harassing behavior by an employee, instructor, or consultant that has been verified will result in immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of the individual’s employment or contract, as applicable. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Participation in Turning West Programs and Experiences is at the students’ risk. I understand and agree to waive and release any and all claims against TurningWest, its agents, faculty, or employees of personal injury or property damage arising from participation in TurningWest’s programs. TurningWest cannot be responsible for loss of or damage to personal property during its courses.
Classroom Conduct. SUMMAT COLLEGE expects a concentration on, and a commitment to, academic excellence. To achieve this end:
3.1 Punctual arrival for all lessons is required.
3.2 No disruption of classroom routine will be tolerated.
3.3 The ambience of the classroom must be one of warmth and mutual respect.
3.4 Homework must always be timeously done, and thorough preparation must be carried out before tests and examinations.
Classroom Conduct. PLI4U maintains no dress code, but expects students will not dress in a provocative manner or any manner designed to excite controversy or distract from an orderly learning environment. Students are permitted to make notes on a laptop computer, however, no computer, PDA, cell phone or recording device is permitted in any classroom when tests or examinations are being administered. Cell phones must be turned off, or to vibrate, during classes or they will be removed. Cell phones, computers, and other electronic devices are to be checked at the door for examinations. No recording devices of any kind are permitted in any classroom at any time.
