The 'Computer Work Stations' clause defines the requirements and standards for the provision, setup, and maintenance of computer workstations within a workplace or under a contract. Computer Work Stations. A. In order to provide a safe and healthy workplace for its employees, the State agrees to order computer equipment wherever possible in accordance with the recommendations made by the Joint Union/Management Video Display Terminal Committee Report.
B. The State shall provide instruction in the proper operation and adjustment of computers and workstation equipment. Both parties will encourage employees to properly use computer equipment. The State shall maintain the Computer User's Handbook which will be available to all departments for training purposes.
C. The State shall take action as it deems necessary to make the following equipment available to all employees that use computers:
1. Glare screens;
2. Document holders;
3. Adjustable chairs;
4. Adjustable keyboards, computer tables and supports;
5. Foot and wrist rests. Additionally, the State shall take action as it deems necessary to mitigate glare from the workplace, such as, rearrangements of the work stations to avoid glare on terminal screens from windows and ceiling luminaries, or providing other measures to reduce the glare from light sources.
D. Upon request by the Union, the State agrees to meet to review any revisions or additions to the State's ergonomic guidelines for computer equipment.

Additionally, the State shall take action as it deems necessary to mitigate glare from the workplace, such as, rearrangements of the work stations to avoid glare on monitors and on terminal screens from windows and ceiling luminaries, or providing other measures to reduce the glare from light sources.

Computer Work Stations. (a) Where an employee is required to work at a computer work station, the following will apply:
(i) The School Board, whenever possible, will provide suitable equipment (i.e. adjustable chairs, keyboards at proper typing heights) and keep screen glare to a manageable level.
(ii) Upon request, the Employer shall assist employees in adjusting computer work stations to minimize the risk of musculoskeletal injury.
Computer Work Stations. Section 1. The University will make a good-faith effort to create and maintain safe computer workstations.
Section 2. The University may monitor and record usage to enforce its policies in accordance with OIT acceptable use policy, but will not inspect or record confidential personal financial or health record information.
Section 3. Upon request, police officers who operate a computer shall be provided available wrist rests for trial usage. If the wrist rest is determined to be beneficial, a permanent wrist rest will be assigned to the station.
