Continuous Duty Clause Samples
Continuous Duty. The ordinary hours of duty of part-time employees shall be continuous on any one day. An unpaid meal break shall not be regarded as breaking continuity of duty.
Continuous Duty. The scheduling of faculty responsibilities during the student day shall be determined by the building principal in consultation with his/her faculty. However, no teacher shall be assigned continuous duty in excess of three-and-one-half (3.5) hours. Notwithstanding the foregoing, on one (1) day per week at the high school, the rotating schedule of periods may require a teacher to be on duty from 7:45 am to 11:30 am.
Continuous Duty. (Full time) - All Full time Specialists will be paid Continuous Duty Allowance of 10% in addition to the Ordinary Weekly Rate. The Continuous Duty Allowance is in recognition that Full time Specialists may, from time to time, be required to work more than their Ordinary Hours due to the need to remain on duty when patient needs require, notwithstanding the occurrence of normal meal breaks, conferences or the expiration of their rostered hours. When such continuous duty hours are worked, a Full time Specialist will not be entitled to additional payment.
Continuous Duty. An employee who is required to be on duty for more than 34 hours, without a minimum of 8 consecutive hours off-duty for rest, shall be paid at the rate of 2 times the hourly rate of pay for all on-duty hours in excess of 34 hours until the employee is allowed a minimum of 8 consecutive hours off-duty for rest. An employee shall be entitled to receive straight time pay and benefits for any portion of the 8 hours off-duty for rest which falls on the employee’s next scheduled shift which the employee is required to work.
Continuous Duty. Under normal circumstances no employee should exceed a maximum of 12 hours continuous duty. It is however possible, under emergency circumstances, to extend this to 16 hours. Should any employee feel fatigued during such work to such an extent he/she believes they may be a safety risk to themselves or others, then they should make arrangements with the Team Leader or Coordinator to be relieved, and arrange transport if required. None of the above detracts from the employer’s duty of care to properly ensure a safe work environment and sufficient staffing arrangements to ensure safe work practices.
Continuous Duty. Officers may from time to time, be required to work more than their Normal Hours due to the need to remain on duty when Institute needs require, notwithstanding the occurrence of normal meal breaks, conferences or the expiration of their rostered hours.
Continuous Duty. All full time Doctors will remain on duty when patient needs require, notwithstanding the occurrence of normal meal breaks, conferences or the expiration of their normal hours. Payment for this availability is included in the rates of pay for full-time Doctors in Table 2 of Schedule B.
Continuous Duty. Ambient temperature - The average temperature of the air for any 24 hour period shall not exceed 400 C or be less than -300 C for the purpose of this specification.
Continuous Duty. In the event an officer is called in for more than one call in any given 494 day, including notice of court or any other notice of time outside the regular shift, that 495 officer shall not receive two call ins, but shall be paid continuous pay at the overtime 496 rate of time and one‐half from the beginning of the first call in to the end of the second 497 call in; excepting that if the call ins in question are for specialized units established and 498 existing for the purpose of being called in for special problems or occurrences, such as 499 SWAT, K‐9, accident reconstruction, the continuous duty rule shall not apply to more 500 than one call in of such nature, but rather each call in shall be a separate call in.
4.3 When a trade of shifts is made between officers as authorized in section 5.2 of this 502 Agreement, and one of the officers is subject to a call as set forth in section 6.4 of this 503 Agreement, the officer working the day shall be subject to the 3 hour call in 504 compensation and the officer who is off because of the trade shall be subject to the 6‐ 505 hour call in compensation. It is understood that the above shall not affect the 506 application of 6.4.1 and 6.4.2 of this Agreement.
4.4 Officers inversed to work overtime to satisfy safety requirements shall be paid call‐in 508 time under this section. Officers who volunteer to work such overtime shall be paid at 509 time and one‐half for the overtime actually worked.
Continuous Duty. All practitioners shall remain on duty when patient needs require, notwithstanding the occurrence of normal meal breaks, conferences or the expiration of their normal hours.
