Deductions and Remittance. A. During the term of this Agreement, the Universities will deduct AFSCME membership dues in an amount established by AFSCME and certified in writing by the President of Council 79 to the Board for employees who have submitted an AFSCME deduction authorization form, Appendix B. The University will also make other AFSCME related deductions as instructed by employees in writing on the AFSCME deduction authorization form. Employee transfers or promotions within the bargaining unit shall not require the submission of new forms.
B. The dues and other authorized deductions shall be made on the employee’s regular payroll basis and shall begin with the first full pay period following receipt of the authorization form. The dues and other authorized deductions shall be remitted by the University to the AFSCME State Office within thirty (30) days after the deductions are made, or as soon thereafter as possible. Accompanying each remittance shall be a list of the employees from whose salaries such deductions were made and the amounts deducted. When an employee returns from an approved unpaid leave status, dues deductions shall continue if that employee has previously submitted a deductions authorization form.
C. AFSCME shall notify the Board in writing of any changes in its dues at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of such change.

C. The PBA shall advise the University of any increase in dues or other authorized deductions in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to its effective date.
D. This Article applies only to the deduction of membership dues and uniform assessments, if any, and shall not apply to the collection of any fines, penalties, or special assessments.
E. The University will not be required to process Dues Deductions Authorization Forms that are: (1) incorrectly and/or incompletely filled out; (2) postdated; or (3) submitted to the University more than sixty (60) days following the date of the employee's signature.
F. Deductions of dues and other authorized deductions shall be remitted exclusively to the President of the Florida Police Benevolent Association by the University within thirty (30) days after the deductions are made, or as soon as practical thereafter, along with a list containing the names of the employees for whom the remittance is made.

Employee promotions within these bargaining units shall not require the submission of new forms. Pursuant to Florida Senate Bill 256 the university is prohibited from deducting union dues and uniform assessments from bargaining unit members.

Deductions and Remittance. Specified deductions (TBD based upon final outcome of health and welfare transition services), and employee/employer taxes will be withheld per Purchaser approved authorization. Remittances, excluding employee/employer taxes will be made by Seller per current practices as authorized by Purchaser.
Deductions and Remittance. (a) All employees covered by the Union Certificate of Bargaining Authority shall pay a monthly fee to the Union equal to the Union's monthly dues, such payment to be made by payroll deduction. This deduction shall become effective on the first day of the month coincident with or next following the date of appointment, but the deduction shall be made only if the employee is still in the employ of the Employer on the final day of the first pay period in that month. Deductions shall be made in respect of all subsequent months provided an employee works any part of the month.
(b) All employees covered by the Union Certificate of Bargaining Authority, and identified by the Union as required to pay an initiation fee, shall pay an initiation fee equal to an amount stipulated by the Union. Such payment is to be made by payroll deduction and shall become effective within one month of the request by the Union.
(c) All employees covered by the Union certificate of Bargaining Authority shall pay to the Union, periodic assessments or levies stipulated by the Union that are equally applied to all employees in the bargaining unit. Such payment is to be made by payroll deduction and shall become effective within one month of the request by the Union.
(d) The Employer must honor an employee’s written request for an assignment of wages to the Union related to a debt to the Union. The assignment is to be made by payroll deduction and shall become effective within one month of the request by the Union, provided that:
(i) To cancel an assignment, an employee must first give notice in writing to both the employer and the Union, and;
(ii) The assignment shall not be for the purpose of collecting a fine or penalty imposed by the Union.
(e) The arrangements covered in (a), (b), (c) and (d) above shall remain in effect for so long as this union remains the recognized bargaining authority and provided membership in the Union remains on a voluntary basis and is not a condition of employment.
Deductions and Remittance. During the term of this agreement, the Company will deduct from each paycheck, union dues as designated by the International Secretary –Treasurer of the Union, from the wages of the employees covered by this Agreement. The Company shall promptly remit any and all amounts so deducted to the International Secretary-Treasurer of the Union. A copy of such authorization card for the check-off of Union dues should be forwarded to the Financial Secretary of the local union along with the membership application of such employee. All payroll deductions shall be forwarded to the International Secretary-Treasurer, United Steelworkers, ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇. The Company shall within ten (10) days remit any and all amounts so deducted to the Union’s International Secretary-Treasurer with a completed Summary of Dues form R-115 B. A copy of the deduction list shall be forwarded to the Financial Secretary of Local Union 12-911- 09.
