EMERGENCY DECLARATION. The policy applies when all or part of County operations are shut due to an official declaration by the Office of the County Administrator. Official announcements will be carried on (radio stations) WCTC (AM) or WCBS (AM) and information can be obtained by calling ▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇.
EMERGENCY DECLARATION the official declaration by an authorized government official of a state of emergency in the jurisdiction in which one or more parties is located.
EMERGENCY DECLARATION. For the purpose of this contract, an emergency is defined as “an urgent need for assistance or relief” (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇).
EMERGENCY DECLARATION. The District retains its right to modify or rescind 24 policies and practices referred to in this Agreement in cases of emergency. The 25 determination of whether or not an emergency exists is solely within the discretion of the 26 Board of Trustees or designated representative, in accordance with the terms and 27 conditions contained herein.
EMERGENCY DECLARATION. It is understood that extenuating circumstances resulting from an emergency may lead to discontinuation of the 6-day operation schedule without notification identified in implementation time. If required, the 6-day operation schedule will resume after the emergency is resolved. When required the Company will meet with the Union to review business needs, possible business implications/opportunities and alternate scheduling arrangements. In the event of a business need which would require continuous operations in excess of 8 weeks, the Company would notify the Union of this need to determine timing, schedules and other requirements, as appropriate. When the requirement for continuous operations is determined to be less than 8 weeks the Company will meet with the Union to determine the method of operation to fulfill the requirements. This may be accomplished by utilizing overtime. The Company will meet with the Union to provide the business rationale and other information regarding the need for 6-day schedules. Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, the Company will provide a minimum of three (3) weeks’ notice prior to implementing 6-day operations. Before ending such an operation and returning to 5X8 production, the Company will give two weeksnotice of when the schedule will end. The week starts at 7am Sunday. Each shift will be: (a) 3 consecutive days - 7am to 7pm (day shift) or 7pm to 7am (midnight shift) or (b) the schedule as set out in the attached sample schedule, in the Union’s discretion. In either case, the “down” day will be determined by the Company and the Union, taking into consideration business needs. The parties may agree to a different schedule, taking into consideration business needs. Employees will be paid according to actual hours worked. Example: Spring: 11 actual hours worked will receive 11 hours pay Fall: 13 actual hours worked will receive 13 hours pay – the 13th hour at a rate Double Time.

EMERGENCY DECLARATION. Leave of any kind authorized in this Agreement may be temporarily suspended during any law enforcement or duty-related emergency declared by the Sheriff or the County.
EMERGENCY DECLARATION. 20.1 In the event of a declared emergency, the District reserves the right to assign employees of this bargaining unit to work assignments without regard to their employment classification for the duration of the declared emergency. 20.2 The Fire Chief (or designee) will be the authority in determining closures or late starts for inclement weather, natural disasters, pandemic outbreaks, war and other such epic threats to life and limb. Such notification shall be made to each member of the bargaining unit via the District’s automatic notification system and shall be made no later than six (6) am on the day of the closure or late starts. 20.2.1 An employee is expected to report to work regardless of conditions if they can possibly do so. An employee who is unable to get to work on time or who has approval to leave work early because of conditions shall charge the time to accrued vacation leave, personal holiday or leave without pay. 20.2.2 If the District closes the facility, those employees who were scheduled to work on that day will be compensated for the entire day, or for whatever portion of the day the facility was closed, during which time they were scheduled to work. If the employee is on already approved leave, they will be required to use the already approved leave. 20.2.3 In the event that a closure or late start is determined as per Article 20.2, and the conditions change to a point where the District will be open, the District will send an alert via the District’s automatic notification system alerting all members of the change and the timeframe for reporting in to the office.
EMERGENCY DECLARATION. If as a result of an emergency declared by the County Executive, County agencies are closed, employees required to work on such days shall receive compensatory time off or have an equivalent amount of time added to their vacations, at the option of the employee concerned.

  • Emergency/Declared Disaster Requirements In the event of an emergency or if Orange County is declared a disaster area by the County, state or federal government, this Contract may be subjected to unusual usage. The Contractor shall service the County during such an emergency or declared disaster under the same terms and conditions that apply during non-emergency/disaster conditions. The pricing quoted by the Contractor shall apply to serving the County’s needs regardless of the circumstances. If the Contractor is unable to supply the goods/services under the terms of the Contract, then the Contractor shall provide proof of such disruption and a copy of the invoice for the goods/services from the Contractor’s supplier(s). Additional profit margin as a result of supplying goods/services during an emergency or a declared disaster shall not be permitted. In the event of an emergency or declared disaster, emergency purchase order numbers will be assigned. All applicable invoices from the Contractor shall show both the emergency purchase order number and the Contract number.

  • Emergency Situations If the condition is an emergency, this will be communicated to the Contractor with the request that corrections are to be accomplished immediately. The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours. If the Contractor fails to respond within this time limit, the Owner may correct the defect and charge the Contractor for the Work. If it is determined the complaint is not the responsibility of the Contractor, the Contractor shall be promptly paid for the cost of the corrective work. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Owner when corrections have been completed.

  • Emergency Situation In the event of an emergency situation beyond our reasonable control, such as an "act of God," war, fire, or natural disaster, services involving your account could be available only in a modified or reduced form or could be entirely unavailable. Unless expressly prohibited by applicable law, you agree that we will have no liability to you for such modification, reduction, or unavailability of services caused by an emergency situation.

  • Emergency Services The parties recognize that in the event of a strike or lockout, situations may arise of an emergency nature. To this end, the Employer and the Union will agree to provide services of an emergency nature.
