Extra Hours Worked. If a unit member proctors a mid-term exam, final or Regents exam at the Middle School or High School during Regents exam periods, or is directed by their building administrator to work beyond their regular work hours, the additional time shall be paid at the unit member’s rate in effect at the time those hours are worked no later than the next payroll period after the unit member has submitted a timecard detailing the extra hours worked. Hours over forty (40) worked in the work week will be paid at time and one-half. A unit member may volunteer to receive compensatory time in lieu of regular wages for the extra hours worked in excess of the regular work hours. Compensatory hours over forty (40) worked in the work week shall be accrued at a rate equal to time and one-half. The compensatory time earned while proctoring exams may be used with the approval of the principal, or designee, in the same exam period as earned. All other compensatory time may be used in the same payroll period as earned. Any unused compensatory time at the end of the exam (or payroll) period will be reported on a timecard detailing when the hours were earned and when compensatory time was used. The unit member shall be paid at the unit member’s rate in effect at the time those hours are worked no later than the next payroll period after the member has submitted a timecard detailing the extra hours worked. The implementation of this article will be in conformity with the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
ARTICLE 13 - 1: 1 AIDES Unit members who are 1:1 aides will be assigned a different responsibility, consistent with their Civil Service title, when the student is absent. The unit member may be temporarily assigned to a different building with different work hours when it is known that the student will be absent.
Extra Hours Worked. (i) All extra hours worked, (not including overtime), over and above regular posted hours, shall be shared equally amongst all regular bus drivers during each school year. The equalization of extra hours will not apply to those drivers working on a relief basis or mechanics except on an emergency basis.
(ii) A list of all participating drivers and their extra hours will be posted and updated monthly. It is understood that drivers with regularly scheduled mid-day runs (e.g. Kindergarten/Special Needs) may not have equal access to extra hours.

Day shift shall be defined as eight (8) hours of work scheduled between the hours of six (6:00 ) a.m. and five-thirty (5:30) p.m. Afternoon shift shall be defined as eight (8) hours of work scheduled between the hours of two-thirty (2:30) p.m. and one (1:00) a.m. Night shift shall be defined as eight (8) hours of work scheduled between the hours of eleven (11:00) p.m. and nine (9:00) a.m.
Extra Hours Worked. Any hours worked in excess of the employee’s regularly scheduled core daily or weekly hours will be considered Auxiliary hours in accordance with Part B of Schedule “B”. The employee will receive a payment of ten percent (10%) for those hours in lieu of vacation and public holiday pay and these additional hours will not count towards an employee’s core hours. The additional hours will count towards an employee’s maximum regular hours for the purposes of calculating overtime. Extra hours, with the exception of overtime hours, will be voluntary.
Extra Hours Worked. Extra hours worked beyond the normal assigned schedule shall be paid in accordance with procedures established by Human Resources and Payroll. Benefit levels shall be adjusted twice each school year, in November (based on hours of work up to October 31) and in March (based on hours of work up to February 28) to ensure employees receive recognition for additional regular hours of work. Assuming all other job responsibilities remain essentially the same, the District will use prior year experience to establish the hours of work for the upcoming school year.
