Internet and Email. (a) Users shall not use County Systems for personal activities. (b) When conducting County business or performing services under this Agreement, Users shall not configure, access, use, or participate in any Internet-based communication or data exchange service unless express written permission has been given by County. Such services include, but are not limited to, file sharing (such as Dropbox, Box, Google OneDrive), Instant Messaging (such as AOL IM), email services (such as Hotmail and Gmail), peer-to-peer networking services (such as Kazaa), and social networking services (such as blogs, Instagram, Snapchat, MySpace, Facebook and Twitter). If a User has received express written permission to access such services, User shall comply with all relevant County policies, procedures, and guidelines. (c) Users assigned a County email account must comply with the County’s Records Retention and Destruction Policy. (d) Users shall not use an internal County email account assigned to another individual to either send or receive email messages. (e) Users shall not configure a County email account so that it automatically forwards messages to an external Internet email system unless County gives its express written permission.

However, students must use the internet in a responsible and ethical manner. ● Students must not use the internet to access or share inappropriate material, such as pornography, hate speech, or illegal content. ● Students must not use the internet to harass, bully, or intimidate others. ● Students must not use school-provided email accounts for any unauthorized or illegal activities, such as sending spam or phishing emails. ● Students must use appropriate language and tone in all electronic communications, including email, chat, and discussion forums. ● Students must respect the privacy of others and their personal information. Students must not share personal information about themselves or others, including full name, address, phone number, or other identifying information. ● Students must not use school-provided devices or technology resources to access or transmit confidential or sensitive information without proper authorization. ● Students must not store or save any files or documents that are illegal, inappropriate, or violate copyright laws. ● Any violation of this AUP will be investigated by the school administration. ● Consequences for violations may include loss of computer or internet privileges, detention, suspension, or expulsion. ● Legal action may be taken for violations that are illegal in nature.

Internet and Email. 2.1 Content Filtering and use of the Internet Lightwoods Primary School provides internet filtering, designed to remove controversial, offensive or illegal material that would cause your child to be upset. The School makes use of the filtering services provided by Sandwell Broadband through TRUSTnet which seeks to provide internet use that is safe and for educational purposes only. The school has installed computers and Internet access to help pupils’ learning. These rules will keep everyone safe and help us be fair to others.  I will only access the system with my own login and password, which will be keep secret.  Will not access other people's files.  Will only use the computers for school work and home Learning.  Will not download and use material or copy and paste content which is copyright. (Most sites will allow the use of published materials for educational use. Teachers will give guidelines on how and when pupils should use information from the Internet.)  Will not bring in memory sticks or disks from outside school unless they have been given permission.  Will ask permission from a member of staff before using the Internet.  Will only e-mail people if my teacher has approved.  Will only send polite and responsible messages.  Will not give my home address or telephone number, or arrange to meet someone, unless my parent, carer or teacher has given permission;  Will report any unpleasant material or messages sent to them and understand that their report would be confidential and would help protect other pupils and themselves.  Understand that the school may check their computer files and may monitor the Internet sites they visit.  I will only use headphones with permission from teachers

  • Internet Access Hotels and Airports Employees who travel may need to access their e-mail at night. Many hotels provide free high speed internet access and Tyler employees are encouraged to use such hotels whenever possible. If an employee’s hotel charges for internet access it is reimbursable up to $10.00 per day. Charges for internet access at airports are not reimbursable.

  • Internet Use 7.1. Customer is prohibited from posting or transmitting unlawful material on or via the Internet or the World Wide Web. 7.2. Leaseweb is entitled to actively block ports or IP addresses for the Network, in the event that such is – in Leaseweb’s reasonable view – necessary to preserve or protect the security and performance of the Network or the Internet or the World Wide Web. An overview of the blocked ports or IP addresses may be requested in writing by Customer from Leaseweb. 7.3. Without prejudice to the generality of Clause 7.2 of the Acceptable Use Policy, Leaseweb shall in any event actively block the following ports for its Network: (i) UDP/137 – Netbios; (ii) UDP/139 – Netbios; (iii) TCP/135 till 139 – Netbios;(iv) TCP/445 – Smb; and (v) Protocol UDP port 11211 - Memcache 7.4. If Leaseweb reasonably suspects that Customer is subject to a DoS attack, DDoS attack, DRDoS attack or another attack and (in Leaseweb’s reasonable opinion) such attack negatively affects the Infrastructure, Leaseweb shall be entitled to immediately block access to Customer's Infrastructure. In the event that Customer is subject to repetitive attacks, and Customer does not successfully take measures to prevent that future attacks may negatively affect Leaseweb’s Infrastructure, then Leaseweb shall be entitled to immediately terminate theSales Contract by sending a written notice to Customer.
