Schematic Design Services. In the Schematic Design Phase, the Architect shall provide those services necessary to prepare Schematic Design Documents consisting of drawings and other documents illustrating the general scope, scale and relationship of Project components for approval by the Owner. Designs will be conceptual in character and based on the requirements developed under previous phases and approved by the Owner.

Schematic Design Services. 2.3.1.1 Based on the approved Development Plan for each of the DC Projects and any adjustments authorized by Webvan in such Development Plan, Bechtel shall prepare for Webvan's review and approval schematic drawings, descriptive specifications and other documents appropriate to the size of each of the DC Projects illustrating and describing the concept, quality, layout, scale and relationship of the DC Project components (including, without limitation, the Operating Equipment), which documents are collectively referred to as the "SCHEMATIC DESIGN DOCUMENTS". Webvan acknowledges that the conceptual design of the DC Projects shall initially be based upon Webvan's existing DCs located in Oakland, California and Atlanta, Georgia. Bechtel shall, however, review with Webvan alternative designs and construction methods relating to each DC Project.
2.3.1.2 Upon completion of the Schematic Design Documents for a DC Project, Bechtel shall prepare and submit to Webvan a comprehensive, detailed preliminary budget for such DC Project and for all costs to be incurred as part of the DC Project, which budget shall at all times be subject to Webvan's approval both as to form and content. The parties acknowledge that such DC Project budgets will be critical in allowing the parties to conceptualize and monitor the Development of the Project, and Bechtel shall use its best efforts to prepare and update each such DC Project budget so as to be as detailed and realistic as possible. Each such DC Project budget, as revised from time to time and approved by Webvan, is referred to herein as a "PROJECT BUDGET". Bechtel shall design each DC Project in accordance with its Project Budget.

Schematic Design Services. 3.3.1 Any Schematic Design Services requested of the Architect under this Agreement shall be provided in accordance with the terms of Attachment A.
Schematic Design Services. 2.3.1.1 Based on design specifications and criteria provided by Equinix, Bechtel shall prepare for Equinix's review and approval schematic drawings, descriptive specifications and other documents appropriate to the size of each of the Projects illustrating and describing the concept, quality, layout, scale and relationship of the Project components, which documents are collectively referred to as the "Schematic Design Documents".
2.3.1.2 Upon completion of the Schematic Design Documents for a Project, Bechtel shall prepare and submit to Equinix a preliminary estimate for such Project and for all costs to be incurred as part of the Project, which estimate shall be subject to Equinix's approval ("Preliminary Estimate"). Bechtel shall update each such Preliminary Estimate from time to time as appropriate.
Schematic Design Services. Task 1
(1) The Program Manager will provide the Architect copies of the Educational Specifications, Design Standards, Program Implementation Plan, Procedures Manual and Project Requirements. Additionally, any available plans or other documents related to the project in the possession of the Program Manager will be provided to the Architect for use on the project at the Architect’s risk.
(2) The Architect shall prepare schematic design studies consisting of drawings and other documents illustrating the scale and relationship of project components as directed in writing by the Program Manager and City Engineer. Documents and drawings shall include conceptual site and preliminary building plans, preliminary selections of major building systems and construction materials.
(3) Provide a detailed comparison of the Project Requirement Square Footage Requirement to the proposed Schematic Design. The comparison should include differences and variations between both designs for evaluation purposes.
(4) Prepare an estimate of the construction costs of said improvements, extensions and repairs, and an estimate of all testing costs, site surveys and inspection fees in connection therewith. This estimate may be based on square footage or similar conceptual estimating techniques.
(5) Hold all necessary conferences with the Program Manager and all other interested parties as directed by the Program Manager.
(6) Furnish the Program Manager five (5) copies of the draft Schematic Design for review. Incorporate all recommended changes prior to submittal of the final Schematic Design.
(7) Facilitate a community design presentation to include a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, presentation boards or a combination of both to describe the Schematic Design to meeting participants. Collect comments from attendees and include all meeting information in the final Schematic Design.
(8) Furnish the Program Manager five (5) copies of the Schematic Design and one (1) electronic copy, in Adobe Acrobat format, on CD-ROM free of cost to the Trust. The cost of any additional copies of Schematic Design as the Program Manager may require will be reimbursed at the net cost thereof.
(9) The Schematic Design shall be recommended by the Architect, Program Manager and City Engineer for formal approval by the Trust, School District and City Council.
