Section 9.2.2 Clause Samples

Section 9.2.2. Employees who work less than twelve (12) months per year and are paid on a contracted basis 29 will receive compensation for vacation on a month-to-month basis. Employees who work less 30 than twelve (12) months per year and are paid on an hourly basis will receive payment for 31 accrued vacation with their July paycheck. Any employee who is discharged or who terminates 32 employment shall receive payment for accrued vacation credit with his/her final paycheck.
Section 9.2.2. 46 Emergency leave may be granted by the Director of Employee Services or designee for 47 bereavement purposes where the death is not covered by this policy. If the deceased has 1 substantially the same association with the employee as his parent or child would have, then 2 bereavement leave may be granted at the discretion of the Director of Employee Services or 3 designee.

Section 9.2.2. 34 Seniority rights shall be effective within the general job classification. The general job 35 classifications are those set forth in Article I, Section 1.2. The seniority rights of the employee 36 shall arise from the classification date and shall be applicable within the classification. The 37 employee shall, however, retain all seniority in the former job classification(s). Seniority in 38 former job classification(s) does/do not continue accruing. 39
