Special Operations Clause Samples
The Special Operations clause defines the procedures and requirements for carrying out activities that are outside the scope of normal operations, often due to their complexity, risk, or unique nature. This clause typically outlines the need for prior approval, additional safety measures, or specific qualifications for personnel involved in such operations. Its core practical function is to ensure that potentially hazardous or exceptional tasks are managed with heightened oversight and control, thereby minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Special Operations. The City has the sole and exclusive discretion to establish a Special Operations Team.
Special Operations. A member assigned to a specialty unit who possesses special skills and abilities (Tactical Operations Unit, Mobile Field Force, Evidence Technicians, Detectives, etc.) is directed to report for duty as the result of a special operation, investigation or critical incident.

2. Personnel not in compliance with the above requirement may be subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to termination.

Special Operations. This is a partnership with San Mateo Fire Department to provide local USAR capabilities independent of Task Force 3 discussed above. CCFD, through several grants, have acquired apparatus, equipment and training funds that allowed personnel to become specially trained and equipped for trench, confined space, high and low-angle rescues. The State of California recognizes the training and resources that CCFD has acquired and has declared us as a state wide deployable team that qualifies for reimbursement when called upon.

Special Operations. 1. The employee must be formally assigned duties as a Special Operations Responder in order to qualify for the Special Operations incentive.
2. Criteria have been established determining qualifications and retention to obtain and maintain designation as a Special Operations Responder.
3. Non-compliance of the retention criteria may result in the removal of the Special Operations Responder designation and the associated incentive by the Fire Chief.
4. The Fire Chief shall have the discretion to determine the number of Special Operations Responders.
5. There shall be no requirement to continue the incentive when an employee is no longer designated as a Special Operations Responder. The Special Operations Responder Incentive will be sixty dollars ($60.00) per pay period.
