The Supper Allowance clause establishes an entitlement for employees to receive a specified monetary allowance or reimbursement for meals when they are required to work beyond normal working hours, typically into the evening. In practice, this clause applies when employees work overtime or late shifts, and it sets out the conditions under which the allowance is paid, such as minimum overtime duration or specific time thresholds. SUPPER ALLOWANCE. If an employee is required to work overtime and the overtime continues beyond 6:30 p.m., the employee shall be paid supper allowance in the amount of eight dollars and fifty cents ($8.50).
SUPPER ALLOWANCE. Where an employee is required to work overtime in excess of two hours, the Company shall either pay a meal allowance of $10.00 or, if practical provide a meal to the value of $10.00. The meal will be furnished at the most practical time and in conjunction with a rest period.

SUPPER ALLOWANCE. 26.01 If an employee is required to work three (3) hours of overtime or more immediately after the completion of their regular shift, and has not been notified twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the scheduled overtime, the employee will be granted a supper allowance of five dollars ($5.00). In the case of Saturday, Sunday and holiday work, a supper allowance will be granted if an employee is required to work three (3) additional hours or more, immediately after eight (8) hours of overtime without twenty-four (24) hours notice in advance.
SUPPER ALLOWANCE a) A supper allowance, as set out in Appendix III, Schedule C (v), shall be paid to each employee who finishes working after 6 p.m. and at or before 6 a.m.
b) It is agreed that all Supper Allowance rates shall be increased to $550 with effect from April 1, 2008 and $425 with effect from April 1, 2009.
c) It is agreed that all Supper Allowance Rates for Library staff shall be increased to $550 with effect from April 1, 2008 and $450 with effect from April 1, 2009.

The Company shall use its best efforts to pay the supper allowance prior to the end of the overtime shift. Otherwise, the supper allowance will be paid in the following week’s paycheque. A four (4) hour daily minimum of overtime is required in order to qualify for the supper allowance.

This agreement shall remain in full force as of the date of ratification up to and including April and shall continue in force year to year thereafter unless during the last ninety (90) days before the date of its termination either party shall the other with a notice of termination, or the proposed revision of this Agreement.
