The TRAINING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT clause establishes the obligation for one or both parties to provide or facilitate training and professional development opportunities. The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and BBC Scotland will work together to explore opportunities for offering and delivering training and skills development initiatives for students of the Academy and for staff of both organisations, including, though not restricted to, work experience, work shadowing, mentoring and other such programmes
Training and Skills Development. The Parties to the Agreement recognise that in order to increase efficiency and the competitiveness of the company, a continued commitment to training and skill development is necessary. Accordingly the Parties commit themselves to:
a) Developing a highly skilled and flexible workforce.
b) Providing employees with career opportunities through appropriate training to acquire additional skills required.
c) Employees will be offered training to enhance their knowledge and skills of existing and new technologies where such training is to the benefit of the Company. Such additional training will be provided in accordance with the overall training program and timeframe. To that end both Parties in consultation will develop and continue to develop a training skills program consistent with the current and future skill needs of the Company and its workforce. Employees will not lose any wages (excluding non-all-purpose allowance) for attending company approved training programs during normal working hours. Out of pocket expenses including excess fares will be reimbursed.

(a) Developing a highly skilled and flexible workforce.
(b) Providing employees with career opportunities through appropriate training to acquire additional skills required.
6.2 Employees will be offered training to enhance their knowledge and skills of existing and new technologies where such training is to the benefit of Yarra Trams. Such additional training will be provided in accordance with the overall training program and timeframe.
6.3 To that end Yarra Trams in consultation with employees and their representatives will develop and continue to develop a training skills program consistent with the current and future skill needs of Yarra Trams and its workforce.
6.4 Employees will not lose any wages (excluding non-all purposes allowances) for attending approved training programs during normal working hours. Out of pocket expenses including excess fares will be reimbursed. For the avoidance of doubt, this clause does not apply to training provided by a trade union.
Training and Skills Development. The parties agree that in order to increase the CPI Group Ltd’s efficiency, productivity and competitiveness, a continuing commitment to training appropriate to its business needs is required. Accordingly, the parties commit themselves to:
(a) developing a more highly skilled and flexible workforce
(b) providing employees with career opportunities through appropriate training to acquire additional skills
(c) multi-skilling across all operational activities within the CPI Group Ltd’s operation
Training and Skills Development. 34.1 The parties to this Agreement recognise that in order to increase the efficiency, productivity and international competitiveness of the enterprise a greater commitment to training and skilled development is required. Accordingly they commit to:
34.1.1 Developing a more highly skilled and flexible workforce
34.1.2 Providing suitable employees with career opportunities through appropriate training to acquire additional skill and
34.1.3 Removing barriers to the utilisation of skills acquired
34.1.4 Developing skills in teamwork and continuous improvement
34.2 Following consultation through the ECC the employer will develop a training programme, consistent with:
34.2.1 The current and future skill needs of the enterprise
34.2.2 The size, structure and nature of the operations of the enterprise
34.2.3 The need to develop vocational skills relevant to the enterprise and consistent with the National Forest Industry Competency Standards where applicable through courses conducted by accredited educational institutions and providers
34.3 The ECC will ensure that the following is implemented:
34.3.1 Formulation of a training programme and availability of training courses and career opportunities to employees
34.3.2 Dissemination of information on the training programme and availability of training courses and career opportunities to employees
34.3.3 The recommending of individual employees for training and reclassification
34.3.4 Monitoring and advising management and employees-on the ongoing effectiveness of the training
34.3.5 Each area will develop training plans in conjunction with the ECC
34.3.6 Training may be conducted either on or off the job and as far as practicable during paid working hours. The employer will not unreasonably withhold paid training leave
34.3.7 Employees who participate in work and grade structure related training will be paid in accordance with clause 25 Hours of Work of this Agreement and clause 31 Overtime of the Award
34.3.8 Each employee will receive no less than one week of direct training each year

b) Providing employees with career opportunities through appropriate training to acquire additional skills required.
c) Employees will be offered training to enhance their knowledge and skills of existing and new technologies where such training is to the benefit of the Company. Such additional training will be provided in accordance with the overall training program and timeframe. Employee’s shall ensure attendance to any rostered training required to ensure that competencies are maintained for the position they are appointed to or are acting in. To that end the company will consultatively develop and continue to develop a training skills program consistent with the current and future skill needs of the Company and its workforce. Employees will not lose any wages for attending company approved training programs during normal working hours. Out of pocket expenses including excess fares will be reimbursed upon satisfactory production of receipts. Cost of training may be deducted from termination payments if the employee resigns within six (6) months of training course.
Training and Skills Development. With a view to enhancing the skills found throughout the company and also the employees’ vocational, general and personal development, it is recommended that the company and the employees work systematically on both formal training and skills development at the workplace, not only through daily work, access courses and new methods of organising work, but also through continuing vocational training activities. Both the company and the employee are encouraged to take joint responsibility for promoting skills development with a view to matching the company’s skills requirements and the employee’s potential for meeting current and future job requirements.
Training and Skills Development. 7.1.1. The Employer commits to developing a highly skilled and flexible workforce, providing Employees with career opportunities through relevant and appropriate training to acquire additional skills and to enhance their skills in existing and new technologies where such training is to the benefit of the Employer.
7.1.2. Employees will be paid for attending approved training programs during standard working hours. Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed on the production of a receipt/tax invoice.
7.1.3. Release of Employees to attend training is subject to operational requirements.
7.1.4. The Employer will utilise relevant standards in the development and delivery of training, including but not limited to AQF.
