Training for Advancement. 1. When training is requested primarily to prepare employees for advancement, or if the requested training would fulfill specific qualification requirements for a position with known promotion potential, selection for such training will be made under competitive promotion procedures, including those contained in Article 21, Merit Promotion. Such training is subject to the Employer's budgetary limitations. 2. Employees in career-ladder positions, who have not yet reached the full performance level, shall not be required to compete for training that the Employer deems is necessary for their accession to the full performance level.
Training for Advancement. Training may include courses or seminars to improve the long-term promotion potential of employees. If this opportunity is not made available to all eligible, equally qualified and interested employees, selection for this training will be made through competitive procedures.
Training for Advancement. When training is given primarily to prepare employees for advancement, selection for the training will be made under the competitive promotion procedures including those contained in this Agreement and 5 CFR 335.103(c)(iii).
Training for Advancement. The Company and the Union agree that ongoing training for current employees of the Company is beneficial to both parties. With that understanding, the Company shall provide training for advancement within the Company as follows: a) Before there is hiring of new employees, the Company shall first train existing employees to fill new and vacant positions for advancement, before looking outside the Company. b) Where such training is to be provided, the Company shall post a notice advising employees that training is being offered. Employees shall be able to bid for such training and shall be awarded pursuant to the guidelines as set out in the posting. The senior Employee who meets the criteria in the training posting shall be offered such training. c) The posting referred to in b) above shall include all of the criteria, qualifications, skills, ability or other benchmark requisites that an employee must have to apply for such training. d) Where training is offered to employees out of seniority, this matter shall be deemed to be grievable and the affected party may file a grievance where the remedy shall be the requested training and retroactive remuneration for lost opportunities.
Training for Advancement. JCC shall regularly monitor its training programs to ensure Open Access Participants are given equal access to all developmental training designed to enhance an employee's ability to assume positions of greater responsibility.

Training for Advancement. An Employee’s request for training that is primarily designed to prepare the Employee for advancement, or if the requested training would fulfill special qualification requirements for a position with known promotion potential, selection for training among similarly situated employees will be made under competitive procedures.

  • Procedure for Advance Payment of Expenses Indemnitee shall submit to the Company a written request specifying the Indemnifiable Expenses for which Indemnitee seeks an advancement under Section 8 of this Agreement, together with documentation evidencing that Indemnitee has incurred such Indemnifiable Expenses. Payment of Indemnifiable Expenses under Section 8 shall be made no later than ten (10) calendar days after the Company’s receipt of such request.

  • Step Advancement Each faculty member will be granted one (1) increment on the salary schedule each year up to the maximum allowed. To qualify for advancement one (1) step on the salary schedule, employees must have been employed in a paid status or on any form of medical leave (FMLA, CFRA, etc.), or on military leave seventy-five percent (75%) or more of the school days in a school year.

  • Career Advancement In order to attain Professional Teacher Status, the Educator should achieve ratings of proficient or exemplary on each Performance Standard and overall. A principal considering making an employment decision that would lead to PTS for any Educator who has not been rated proficient or exemplary on each performance standard and overall on the most recent evaluation shall confer with the superintendent by May 1. The principal’s decision is subject to review and approval by the superintendent.

  • Advancement In accordance with the pre-existing requirements of the Bylaws, and notwithstanding any provision of this Agreement to the contrary, the Corporation shall advance, to the extent not prohibited by applicable law, the Expenses reasonably incurred by Indemnitee in connection with any Proceeding, and such advancement shall be made within thirty (30) days after the receipt by the Corporation of a statement or statements requesting such advances from time to time, whether prior to or after final disposition of any Proceeding. Advances shall be unsecured and interest free. Advances shall be made without regard to Indemnitee’s ability to repay the Expenses and without regard to Indemnitee’s ultimate entitlement to indemnification under the other provisions of this Agreement. Advances shall include any and all Expenses reasonably incurred pursuing an action to enforce this right of advancement, including Expenses incurred preparing and forwarding statements to the Corporation to support the advances claimed. Indemnitee shall qualify for advances upon the execution and delivery to the Corporation of this Agreement, which shall constitute an undertaking providing that Indemnitee undertakes to repay the amounts advanced to the extent that it is ultimately determined that Indemnitee is not entitled to be indemnified by the Corporation. This Section 8 shall not apply to any claim made by Indemnitee for which indemnity is excluded pursuant to Section 7 hereof.

  • Exception to Right of Indemnification or Advancement of Expenses Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, Indemnitee shall not be entitled to indemnification or advancement of Expenses under this Agreement with respect to any Proceeding, or any claim therein, brought or made by him against the Company.
