UNION SECURITY 3. 01 (a) The Employer shall, as a condition of employment, deduct monthly from each employee's pay the amount of regular dues, initiation fees and other assessments in an amount established by the Council. For the purpose of applying this clause, deductions will be made from the first pay cheque issued to the employee each month. (b) The Employer shall, in addition to the regular dues mentioned in (a) above, deduct monthly from each employee's pay the working dues in the amount of one and one-half percent (1½%) of the employee's gross earnings and remit on behalf of the employee as prescribed in article 16.01. A copy of remittance reports shall go to the regional QCCC office.

UNION SECURITY 3. 01‌ The Union recognizes the right of the Employer to hire whomever it chooses, subject to the Seniority provisions contained herein. The Employer may give the Union an opportunity to refer suitable applicants for employment. The Employer further agrees that it shall not employ in any job coming under this Agreement any person who is otherwise fully employed by another employer or any subcontracting agency.
UNION SECURITY 3. The parties agree all employees shall pay initiation fees and there shall be check-off of dues compulsory upon all employees. Initiation be deducted at the completion of the probationary period. The amount to be deducted shall be such sum as may from time to time be assessed by the Union on its members according to its constitution. The deductions shall be made only in the conditions and circumstances relating to the payment of dues and assessments laid down by the constitution and by-laws of the Union. Union dues will be deducted the second pay of each month and the Company shall remit by cheque the total of the deductions to the Union before the end of the current month.
