Calling Procedure. All short-term occasional positions shall be filled by the Principal or designate by the following procedures:
Calling Procedure. 24.01 The time of a call shall be at the discretion of the employer. The employer shall advise the Union’s Business Agent of the time of the call and the number of persons needed for each category of work. The call shall be made as soon as possible but in no event shall the Union be held liable or responsible in any way if the call is received by the Business Agent less than ninety-six (96) hours prior to the time of the call. The Union shall at all times endeavour to accommodate the employer’s needs when circumstances require the call to be made less than the ninety-six (96) hours referred to above.
24.02 The Employer and the Union shall mutually determine lists of current members who meet the requirements for specific positions based on the Staff Category descriptions in Appendix

34.02 On any call the first person hired and the last person released shall be the Crew Chief. The Crew Chief may be required to act as a department head.
34.03 A department head shall be assigned to each department in which work is being carried out and such department heads shall not be released from duty prior to the release of technicians employed on such production in their department nor in the case of bona fide road crew or amateur technicians while any work is being carried out in their department.
34.04 The Employer may supply the Union with a list of preferred casual employees and alternatives with reasons for their hire.
34.05 Notwithstanding the Union's seniority provisions, the Union Calling ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall endeavor to accommodate the Employer's request when, in his opinion, the request has merit based on the needs of the production. Seniority for the purpose of hiring of casual employees shall be at the sole discretion of the Union and the general provision of qualified personnel with highest seniority being first hired shall prevail at the sole discretion of the Union with regards to this Article.
34.06 If the Employer wishes to cancel a call, it shall do so by notifying the Union’s calling ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of the cancellation at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the time of the call. In the event that such notice is not given, unless the Union consents to such cancellations, the Employer shall pay to the employees designated by the Union to fill the call an amount equal to that remuneration which the employee would have earned through two
Calling Procedure. When operating employees are called and report for duty and are not required for service they shall be allowed pay at the applicable rates of pay with a minimum of four (4) hours. If held longer than four (4) hours, such employees shall be paid minute for minute for all time held.

25.02 If the employer wishes to employ specific members of the union it shall provide the calling ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ with a list of such members.
25.03 The union’s calling ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall report to the employer as soon as reasonably possible on whether or not the requested members of the union are available (in which case the employer may again specify a list with alternates) and the union’s calling ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall endeavour to accommodate the employer’s request. Nothing herein shall require the union’s calling ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or the union to supply the member or members requested. The union, however, shall be required, upon receiving a written request from the employer, to provide full disclosure as to why a particular member or members cannot be provided.
25.04 If the employer wishes to cancel a call, it shall do so by notifying the union’s calling ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of the cancellation at least sixteen (16) hours prior to the time of the call. In the event that such notice is not given, unless the union consents to such cancellations, the employer shall pay to the employees designated by the union to fill the call an amount equal to that remuneration which the employee would have earned through two (2) hours of work at the applicable rate. If the call is postponed without prior notice of sixteen (16) hours before the original time of call, and if the call is subsequently cancelled, then this article shall be applied to the original time of call.
25.05 A department head shall be assigned to each department in which work is being carried out and such department heads shall not be released from work prior to other employees working within that department.
Calling Procedure a) For casual stage employees, the time of the call shall be at the discretion of the Employer. By the 5th of the month, the Employer shall advise the Union’s Dispatch of the required advance schedule for the upcoming month. The Employer shall provide the time of the call, the number of persons needed for each category of the work, and a preliminary work schedule based upon information available at the time of the call for stage employees. The Union shall provide the Employer with notice of dispatched members within 10 days of receiving dispatch request. Should the Union be unable to fill the required positions in the time allotted, it shall work with the Employer to fill those positions as soon as possible
b) For calls that are not scheduled as per 35.01a, the Employer shall advise the Union’s Dispatch with as much notice as possible of the time of the call, the number of persons needed for each category of work and a preliminary work schedule based upon information available at the time of the call for stage employees. The call shall be made by the Union as soon as possible, but in no event shall the Union be held liable or responsible in any way if the call is received by the Dispatch less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the time of the call. The Union shall at all times endeavor to accommodate the Employer’s needs when circumstances require the call to be made less than the seventy-two 72) hours referred to above.

3. Assigned operators in seniority order, who during calling hours, can guarantee he/she will meet MTO rest requirements In applying this Article, service will be allotted in accordance with Article 10.3.
