Cancellation by the Student Sample Clauses
Cancellation by the Student. The only reasons that a housing contract can be canceled after published deadlines for the next academic year/semester are for the following University-approved reasons: Approved Residency Waiver, transferring, withdrawing, and graduating. In order to cancel the contract without penalty and receive a full refund, the student must notify the Office of Residence Life that one of the conditions above exists before the start of the term. The Office of Residence Life will verify the student’s reason with the appropriate University department. All other withdrawals will be given a partial refund as described in Section 1 under Housing and Meal Plan Payments. Residency Waiver - Students wishing to live off-campus must submit an Application to Waive the Residency Requirement for consideration by the Office of Residence Life. To be eligible for a waiver, the student must, at the beginning of the term for which the application is being submitted, meet one of the following criteria:
Cancellation by the Student. Subject to the submission of proper documentation and the approval of the Office of Residence Life and Housing, a contract may be canceled under the following stipulations. Each submission will be determined on an individual basis. Cancellation fees may apply.
A. The existence of a documented injury, illness, or medical condition that occurs after the contract was signed, which cannot be accommodated within the residence hall system or that necessitates withdrawal from the university.
B. Induction into the military service or military absences that necessitate a change in residence.
C. Voluntary withdrawal from the university during the fall or spring semester or at the end of the fall semester due to graduation, enrollment at another university, or leave of absence.
D. Internships or practicum requirements that necessitate residence away from campus, if the student will not return to housing during the remainder of the contract period.
E. The existence of an extenuating circumstance or demonstrated need other than voluntary withdrawal from the university, including drastic reduction in financial resources following execution of the contract, unusual health problems, and other exceptional changes in the student’s status.
F. Students are advised not to sign off-campus housing leases until they have been formally notified of their release from the contract. Students who sign an off-campus housing lease before being approved for a university housing contract release will still be responsible for their housing and dining charges for the academic year. Signing an off-campus housing lease does not serve as a reason for contract cancellation approval or waiver of cancellation fees. Any occurrence that prevents the university temporarily from rendering full performance under this contract, such as war, fire, flood, or other disasters, pandemic, epidemic, order or act of a governmental authority, state of emergency and/or strike or work stoppage, whether by university or other employees, shall not constitute grounds for cancellation of this contract by the student.
Cancellation by the Student. A premature contract dissolution for cause or cancellation of the study contract by the student is to be transmitted to the maintainer in writing, including a genuine signature, while adhering to the following cancellation periods. For cancellation by the student, the cancellation letter must • be received by August 31 for the winter semester (postmark date) • be received by January 31 for the summer semester (postmark date).
Cancellation by the Student. The following are reasons for which the Contract may be cancelled, subject to the submission of proper documentation and the approval of Residence Life and Housing and will be determined on an individual basis:
i. The existence of a documented injury, illness, or medical condition that occurs after the Housing Contract was signed which cannot be accommodated within the residence hall system or that necessitates withdrawal from the University.
ii. Induction into the military service or military absences that necessitate a change in residence.
iii. Voluntary withdrawal from the University during the fall or spring semester[s] or at the end of the fall semester due to graduation, enrollment at another university, or leave of absence.
iv. Internships, practicum, or study abroad requirements that necessitate residence away from campus, if the student will not return to housing during the remainder of the Contract Period.
v. The existence of an extenuating circumstance or demonstrated need other than voluntary withdrawal from the University, including drastic reduction in financial resources following execution of the Housing Contract, unusual health problems, and other exceptional changes in the student’s status.
vi. Any occurrence that prevents the University temporarily from rendering full performance under this Contract, such as war, fire, flood, or other disasters, pandemic, epidemic, order or act of a governmental authority, state of emergency and/or strike or work stoppage, whether by University or other employees, shall not constitute grounds for cancellation of this Contract by the Student.
vii. In the event of a contract cancellation that is initiated by a student, a prorated charge for the dates in residence and dining will be assessed, in addition to a $200 contract cancellation fee. The grace period for canceling this Contract to move off campus without financial charge is outlined in paragraph I of this section.
Cancellation by the Student. To cancel this Contract following the Move-in Date, the Student must submit a written request for cancellation to the Associate Director for Housing Operations or designee that includes documentation of one of the reasons listed below. Following submission of the request, the student must continue to make payments due under this Contract unless and until the Student receives written notice of cancellation. Submission of a Contract Cancellation Request does not guarantee approval. Each request will be reviewed by the Associate Director for Housing Operations and/or the Director of Residence Life & Housing and considered on merit. If the cancellation is approved, the student will be relieved of further obligations under this Contract and credited as outlined under paragraph 6C. If the cancellation is not approved:
i. The student may appeal the decision to the Cancellation Appeals Committee.
ii. The Cancellation Appeals Committee comprises a Jesuit or representative from the Campus Ministry, representatives from Student Development, and the Director of Residence Life & Housing (or their designee).
iii. The decision of the Cancellation Appeals Committee is final.
iv. If a cancellation is not approved, the Contract and all its terms remain in effect for the remainder of the Contract Period.
Cancellation by the Student. The student who desires to terminate this Agreement must notify the Housing Department in writing. The student will continue to be charged for occupancy until proper notification has been received, the room has been vacated, and any keys have been returned. A student cancelling this Agreement for either the full academic year or only the spring term for any reason prior to taking occupancy, will incur certain charges. There is no fee for cancellation if notification is received by July 1st for the fall semester or by January 1st for the spring semester; a fee will be charged for cancellation after that date. If notification is received on or after the first day of classes for the applicable semester, the student will forfeit this Agreement value and be responsible for 50% of the housing fee for that semester. If a student does not notify Housing and Real Estate Services of cancellation but the Registrar or the ▇▇▇▇'▇ Office does so prior to the first full day of classes, Housing and Real Estate Services may use that official notice to fill the vacancy. This notification must reach Housing and Real Estate Services prior to the first day of class to avoid forfeiture of this Agreement value. If the student wishes to terminate this Agreement for any reason during the academic year the student must comply fully with the University's Housing Termination Policy. If the student vacates the accommodations without prior notification, this Agreement shall continue in effect and the student shall be held responsible for all obligations accrued under this Agreement and for the entire term of this Agreement.

The student will continue to be charged for occupancy until proper notification has been received, the room has been vacated, and any keys have been returned. A student cancelling this Agreement for either the full academic year or only the spring term for any reason prior to taking occupancy, will incur certain charges. There is no fee for cancellation if notification is received by July 1st for the fall semester or by January 1st for the spring semester; a fee will be charged for
Cancellation by the Student. 4.1 A cancellation by the student must be made in writing or by telephone towards A-Version Life.
4.2 When cancelling a course, €10 will be charged towards the student for administration fees.
4.3 Cancelling a course by student: If you cancel up to 2 weeks before the start, the student will get the full amount back, minus the administration fee. For a cancellation between 14 -7 days before the start of the course, 50% of the participation fee will be charged. If you cancel from 7 days before the start of the course, 100% of the participation fee will be charged. If you do not appear during the course, no money is refunded.
4.4 If a student cannot attend a course, it is of course possible to participate in a course at a later date. It is also possible to be replaced by another person who will take the course. The participation confirmation is transferable in the aforementioned case, however, this must be consulted with A- Version Life before the start of the course.

c. Voluntary or Involuntary withdrawal/termination from the intern program, with documentation in writing of termination.
d. The existence of an extenuating circumstance or demonstrated need other than voluntary withdrawal from the University, including drastic reduction in financial resources following execution of the Contract, severe health problems, and other exceptional changes in the Resident’s status.
ii. Any occurrence that prevents the University temporarily from rendering full performance under this Contract, such as war, fire, flood, or other disasters, pandemic, epidemic, order or act of a governmental authority, state of emergency and/or strike or work stoppage, whether by University or other employees, shall not constitute grounds for cancellation of this Contract by the Student.
iii. In the event of a Contract cancellation that is initiated by You, a prorated charge for the dates in residence and dining will be assessed, in addition to a $200 contract cancellation fee.
iv. The Resident’s non-occupancy of the Housing does not terminate the contract. If Resident moves out of Housing during the Term of Contract without relief from contract obligations through Residence Life and remains enrolled at the University, shall continue to be liable for all housing fees.
