The Classification Pay clause establishes the pay rates or salary scales associated with specific job classifications within an organization. CLASSIFICATION PAY. If an employee is required by his/her supervisor(s) to perform work in another classification, then he/she shall receive the regular rate of pay for that higher-paying classification for that period.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. 1. If any regular employee is requested by the supervisor to do, and does perform work normally performed by an employee holding a higher pay classification, that such employee shall, after once accumulating three (3) days effectively performing the duties set forth in the particular job description for that classification, receive the rate of pay normally paid the higher classified employee.
2. Subject to the foregoing, an assignment as a substitute for a vacationing classified employee shall be for the duration of that employee’s vacation at the higher pay rate (after meeting the three-day qualification), provided the performance of the substitute is satisfactory in the opinion of the Supervisor.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. In the event an employee is assigned by the supervisor/principal in charge to fill a position in a higher classification within the bargaining unit for a period of five (5) consecutive work days, the employee shall be paid the rate assigned to the higher job classification for all hours worked in that classification including the first five (5) days.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. 3.1 When an employee is requested and does substitute for an employee holding a higher classification, the employee shall receive the compensation of that higher classification on a step parallel with his/her current employment from the first hour.
3.2 When a maintenance person is on vacation, the senior Custodian I shall be designated as a maintenance person and compensated as in 3.1 (above) for those hours he/she is performing the duties of the Maintenance Supervisor. When he/she is performing his/her regular duties he will be compensated at his/her regular rate of pay.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. The Board agrees that if any employee is requested to and does perform work normally performed by an employee holding a higher classification, that such employee shall receive the rate of pay normally paid the higher classified employee.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. Any member of the bargaining unit assigned by his/her supervisor to perform work in a higher classification shall be paid at the hourly rate of the higher classification for hours worked when he/she performs work for one (1) day.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. When a regular employee temporarily replaces an employee who holds a higher job classification, such regular employee shall receive the rate of pay of the higher classification on the same step of his/her current job classification, whichever is higher until such time as the regular employee returns.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. A. The Board agrees that if any employee is required to perform work in another classification, such employee shall receive their regular rate or the rate of the other classification, whichever is higher.
B. Any such assignment must be performed for a period of three (3) consecutive days of compensation in order to qualify for higher classification rate of pay.
C. In the event an employee meets the requirements set forth above, the rate of pay will be calculated from the first day of working in the higher rated classification.
D. Members accepting additional work outside of his/her normal annually scheduled obligations and outside of his/her assigned classification will be compensated at the substitute rate of the classification within which the member agrees to work.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. 1. The Board agrees that if any employee is requested by his/her immediate supervisor to and does perform work that normally is performed by an employee in a higher paid classification that such employee shall receive the rate of pay normally paid in the higher paid classification while he/she is working in that higher paid classification. The employee shall receive the higher rate of pay after the 5th consecutive day on the job retroactive to the first day. Classification pay will be paid at Step 1 of the higher classification pay rate or paid at the next step to provide an increase. Employees required to work at a lower classification shall not suffer a loss of pay as a result of working in a lower classification position.
2. Any such assignment shall be for a period of time to perform work vacated by absence of a regular employee or in the event the request is to perform work of an employee on vacation, it shall be for the duration of the vacation or absence.
3. An employee may not elect to perform work in another classification when scheduled to be performing his/her contracted job (i.e., the employee may not take an extra assignment that conflicts with his/her regular job).
4. An employee who substitutes in another classification only gets substitute pay.
CLASSIFICATION PAY. The Board agrees that if a member of the bargaining unit is requested to and does perform all work that is normally performed by an employee holding a higher classification, then such member shall receive the rate of pay normally paid the higher classified employee from the first day of assignment. There shall not be a classification pay change solely because of a shift change. In order for an employee to receive classification pay, the employee must work such assignment for a period of time not less than five (5) days as approved by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
