Designated Days Off. 1. In addition to the foregoing recognized holidays, there shall be nine (9) Designated Days Off, as designated in Section B(2) below. By signed written Agreement between the Employer, the Union and the employee(s) an alternate Designated Day Off schedule may be established. Said alternate Designated Day Off schedule can be changed no more than once in a twelve (12) month period per employee.

Designated Days Off. 24.1 The latest Rostered Sign Off time before a DDO shall be 2330.
24.2 A single DDO will include two (2) Local Nights and cover at least 36 hours.
24.3 Pilots will not be Rostered single DDOs unless they bid to allow this.
24.4 Two consecutive DDOs will include three (3) Local Nights and cover at least 60 hours.
24.5 Subject to clause22.3 of Appendix 2 – Part-Time Arrangements, an additional 24 hours inclusive of a Local Night will be added for each additional consecutive DDO.
24.6 A planned Rest Period may be included as part of a DDO.
24.7 Pilots will:
(a) not be on Duty more than six (6) consecutive days between days off;
(b) have two (2) consecutive days off in any consecutive 14 days following the previous two (2) consecutive DDOs
24.8 For the purpose of clause 24.7(a) above only, a day of personal/ carer’s leave is considered a Duty day.
24.9 Notwithstanding clause 20 of the Agreement, where a Pilot agrees to work on days off, they must:
(a) have a minimum of seven (7) DDOs in the preceding 28 days; and
(b) have an average of at least eight (8) Days Off in each consecutive 28 day period, averaged over three (3) such periods.
24.10 For the purposes of clause 24.7(a), 24.7(b) and 24.9(a) above, “days off” are defined as DDOs, Blank Days, Offline Days and Annual Leave Days that include two (2) Local Nights and cover at least 36 hours.
Designated Days Off. 21.1. Full-time Pilots will be Rostered 11 DDOs in six (6) Peak Roster Periods and 12 DDOs in seven (7) Off-Peak Roster Periods at Roster Publish.
21.2. The distribution of Peak and Off-Peak Roster Periods over 13 Roster Periods in each year (RP9 to RP8) of the Agreement will be advised to Pilots prior to the commencement of RP9. If RP9 is to be the first Peak Roster Period, then Pilots must be notified prior to the commencement of RP8.
21.3. Once advised to Pilots, the distribution of Peak and Off-Peak Roster Periods can only be changed by agreement of the AIC.
21.4. Unless otherwise agreed, DDOs will be at the Pilot’s Home Base.
21.5. Virgin Australia will not change a Pilot’s DDO without the Pilot’s agreement.
21.6. Although there may be occasions where Pilots are asked to work on a DDO, they are not required to do so. If a Pilot agrees to work on a DDO, they will receive the payment as outlined in clause 38.
Designated Days Off. In addition to the foregoing recognized holidays, there shall be six (6) Designated Days Off per year as designated below:
(a) July 1, 2011, September 2, 2011, November 11, 2011, April 6, 2012, May 25, 2012, June
(b) By mutual agreement between the Union, the Employer and the employee, DDO’s may be worked at straight-time. The Employer shall notify the Director of Service of District Council 16 in writing by email including the signatures of those who will be working and where the work will be performed prior to starting work on any DDO. Overtime rates shall be paid for all hours worked on DDO’s if the employer fails to notify the Union as described above.
(1) The provisions for working straight time on DDO’s as outlined above shall in no way be applicable to work performed on prevailing wage projects.
Designated Days Off. Every custodial/maintenance employee will be given 13 days off with pay each year. The Superintendent or his designee will post a list of (a) assigned days off and (b) a list of optional days off from which the 13 designated days will be taken when appropriate. The choice of the optional days off when appropriate will be with the concurrence of Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds and the Principal of the Building. The list will be posted and the association will be advised in writing not later than 30 days after the formal adoption of the school calendar by the Board of Education.
Designated Days Off. 1.17.1 From the implementation of the Virgin Blue Work Rules pilots will be rostered a minimum of 11 Designated Days Off in 7 roster periods and a minimum of 12 Designated Days Off in 6 roster periods . Information about which roster periods will have a minimum of 11 Designated Days Off and which roster periods will have a minimum of 12 Designated Days Off will be published as follows:
(a) in the first instance, 2 months prior to the commencement of the Virgin Blue Work Rules; and
(b) thereafter, in May of each year.
A1.1.17.2 The latest rostered sign-off time before a designated day off shall be 2330.
A1.1.17.3 A single designated day off will include 2 local nights and cover at least 34 hours.
Designated Days Off. 15.11.1 Where, at the point of termination, a Flight Attendant has accrued designated days off, the Flight Attendant must receive payment in lieu of such days at their normal salary rate.
