The Evaluative Criteria clause defines the standards or benchmarks that will be used to assess whether certain deliverables, services, or performance obligations meet the agreed-upon requirements. In practice, this clause outlines specific metrics, quality levels, or methods of evaluation that must be satisfied, such as technical specifications, performance targets, or compliance with industry standards. By clearly establishing how success or completion will be measured, the clause helps prevent disputes and ensures both parties have a shared understanding of what constitutes acceptable performance.
Evaluative Criteria. The criteria listed in Sections 8.A–C of this Article shall apply to Clinical Faculty in terms of assessing effectiveness in teaching and, if assigned and agreed to, advising.

Evaluative Criteria a. The evaluative criteria as contained in Appendix G will be employed by each evaluator to evaluate the job performance of certificated personnel in the District.
b. The evaluative criteria are expressed as the standard for the evaluation of personnel in the District.
c. Certificated staff members shall be expected to demonstrate satisfactory attainment levels on each component of the evaluative criteria that applies to their job assignments.
d. Additional evidence which affects the certificated staff member's performance in a particular assignment may be submitted by the evaluator and/or evaluatee, e.g. academic ability of students, innovative program, grade level(s) of students, physical facilities, or enrollment, which may support evaluation findings.

Evaluative Criteria. 16 The evaluative criteria herein set forth shall be utilized by the evaluator in performing the annual 17 evaluation of each certificated employee. The indicators listed below each criteria are guides intended 18 to assist the evaluator in judging whether the employee is meeting the criteria. The evaluator shall 19 decide which indicator(s) are appropriate for the particular employee being evaluated. The evaluator 20 shall be limited to those criteria and indicators contained in this document. Any observation or 21 evaluation form used by the evaluator in the implementation of this Article shall call for the use of 22 narrative comments which refer all observations and evaluations made to the criteria and indicators 23 provided for in this Article. 24 25 Section 9.4.1 - Teaching Employees The evaluative criteria herein set forth pursuant to WAC 392- 26 191-010 (see Appendix I) shall be utilized by the evaluator in performing the annual evaluation of each 28 intended to assist the evaluator in judging whether the employee is meeting the criterion. 29 30 Section 9.4.2 - Educational Support Employees The evaluation criteria herein set forth, pursuant to 31 WAC ▇▇▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇ (see Appendix J) shall be utilized by the evaluator in performing the annual 32 evaluation of each certificated support employee. The indicators listed below each criteria are guides 33 intended to assist the evaluator in judging whether the employee is meeting the criteria. 34 35 SECTION 9.5 - EVALUATION FORM FORMAT 37 The observation and final evaluation forms shall be those shown as Appendices K, M, and O for 38 teachers, and L, N, and O for support staff. 39 40 The evaluatee shall have the right to affix to the Evaluation Form any comments, observations or 41 considerations he/she believes to be pertinent to the evaluation. The form should therefore contain 42 space for such employee comment. 43 44 The form should include lines for the signatures of both parties. The form shall be uniform throughout 45 the District. 46
Evaluative Criteria. The following criteria apply to all certificated personnel. The criteria represent an attempt to integrate the recommended standards of the Massachusetts Department of Education’s Principles of Effective Teaching with Wayland’s Evaluative Criteria included in the Teacher Evaluation Handbook of the Agreement Between the Wayland School Committee and the Wayland Teachers’ Association, Inc. The criteria will be the focus of the supervisory and evaluation process. The evaluator or teacher may wish to include additional areas of professional growth and/or responsibility; such areas should be written on the Teacher Performance Standards Sign-Off Sheet in September, signed by the primary evaluator and the evaluatee, and filed with the Assistant Superintendent. The word “teacher” in these procedures includes counselors, specialists, librarians, and other members of the certificated staff of the Wayland Public Schools.
