Grade 1. Team Member Is responsible for the quality of their own work (subject to direction.) Works in a team environment and/or under routine supervision. Grade 1. School Assistants Grade 1 will have the knowledge, skills and demonstrated capacity to perform routine tasks under close supervision, with the focus to learn and gain competency in the core skills required. This level follows standard procedures in a predefined order where the choice of actions is clear. In time, more complex tasks involving the use of theoretical knowledge will be included under close supervision and with regular feedback to support competency development.
Grade 1. An Employee (Administration) Grade 1 will carry out receptionist, clerical and/or secretarial functions involving routine office procedures and the application of basic book-keeping knowledge and assisting teachers to carry out classroom administrative functions where appropriate.

Grade 1. An employee at this level:
(a) works under direct supervision with regular checking of progress;
(b) applies knowledge and skills to a limited range of tasks; and
(c) performs working established routines, methods and procedures that are predictable and which require the exercise of limited discretion. The following tasks are indicative of those performed by an employee at this level:
i) prepare for work;
ii) complete daily work activities;
iii) apply basic communication skills;
iv) plan skills development;
v) use business equipment;
vi) follow workplace safety procedures;
vii) operate a personal computer;
viii) develop keyboard skills; and
ix) follow environmental work practices.
Grade 1. For the purposes of this Agreement, a Grade 1 employee shall mean an employee who performs work to this level of training, and:
10.1.1 Is responsible for the quality of their own work (subject to instructions and direction).
10.1.2 Works in a team environment and/or under supervision.
10.1.3 Undertakes duties in safe and responsible manner.
10.1.4 Exercises discretion within their level of skill and training.
10.1.5 Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
10.1.6 Indicative of the task; which an employee this level may be required to perform include the following; • General labouring and cleaning duties. • Order assembling including picking stock. • Loading/unloading including from containers. • Receiving, checking, dispatching and sorting of products. • Satisfying internal and external customer needs. • Operation of a keyboard to carry out stores work. • Documenting and recording of goods, materials and components. • Basic inventory control. • Use of other electronic equipment, e.g., scanner, to carry out stores work. • Use of hand trolleys and pallet trucks.
Grade 1. An employee with relevant degree, diploma, or associate diploma and extensive experience in human services and Family Based Care. An employee at this level shall be subject to minimal supervision by the Service Manager. Indicative tasks that may be performed at this level in addition to those listed at Level 3 shall include the following: • Workplace assessment and training of staff • Mentoring of Coordination staff at Levels 1, 2 and 3 • Collation of data and writing of regular reports in relation to specific service delivery areas. • Provide recommendations to the Service Manager regarding service delivery methodologies. • Progression from Grade 1 to Grade 2 shall occur on the employee’s anniversary date, upon satisfactory Performance Review. Progression from Grade 2 to Grade 3 shall occur on the employee’s anniversary date, upon satisfactory Performance Review. Progression from Level 4 to Level 5 shall be by appointment. An employee appointed as such who holds appropriate qualifications and/or experience deemed by the employer to be appropriate and may be required by the employer to work in an unsupervised capacity. An employee at this level shall work in consultation with the Service Manager and will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy. Indicative tasks that may be performed at this level in addition to those listed in Level 4 shall include the following: • A component of supervision of employees in a single program area • Have a sound knowledge of the statutory requirements relevant to the workplace. • Requires an extensive knowledge of the program activities, operational policy or service aspects of the work performed within a function or number of programs. • Employees require skills in managing time, setting priorities planning and organising his or her own work and that of lower classified employees where supervision is a component of the position. • Analyse information and develop resources using initiative and professional judgement under the broad direction of the Service Manager.
Grade 1. An employee at this level will have proven and demonstrated skills that will allow the employee to perform effectively at this level. Indicative of the tasks which an employee at this grade may perform are the following: • Pinning/Inspection • Packing/Grading Fresh Frozen • Portion Packing Grading • Tray Pack Preparation • Tray Pack Wrap • Offal Treatment (Bins) • Crate/Cage Wash • General Hand • DSI Operators (infeed pre-chill; infeed slicer; infeed, outfeed and packer DSI)
Grade 1. This is an employee who undergoes induction and safety training for a period of 6 months unless competent earlier. This employee has no previous experience in the industry.
