Night Shift Differential Pay Sample Clauses

The Night Shift Differential Pay clause establishes additional compensation for employees who work during designated night hours. Typically, this clause specifies the time frame considered as the night shift—such as hours worked between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.—and outlines the percentage or fixed amount added to the employee’s regular pay rate for those hours. Its core function is to incentivize employees to work less desirable shifts and to fairly compensate them for the inconvenience or increased difficulty associated with nighttime work.
