Online Course Development. When an adjunct faculty member develops an online course at the request of the ▇▇▇▇, the adjunct faculty member shall be compensated for the development of the class at the rate of $2,500 per course. Adjunct faculty are strongly encouraged to work with staff in the Center for Innovative Instruction (CII) on the development of the online course. Before compensation as described above is paid, the Director of CII (or designee) shall evaluate and approve the online course design. After compensation for the course development has been received, the course shell becomes the property of the College. The course shell includes all material except that which is the intellectual property of the faculty member. The adjunct faculty member agrees that for the first two semesters following course development, if requested by the ▇▇▇▇, he/she will teach at least one section of the online class.

Online Course Development. The Professional Employee must receive prior approval before developing a new online course. The Professional Employee will notify the Vice President of Academic Affairs once the course is completed. At this time the course will be reviewed by someone appointed by the Vice President of Academic Affairs for quality and preparedness, and the Professional Employee will be asked to correct any issues. Once the course is approved, offered, and taught, the Professional Employee will receive a supplemental contract at a rate of $400 per credit hour for the new course design. Each course development will only be paid once, and redesigns will not be compensated.

Online Course Development. A. faculty member shall participate with other faculty members in his or her discipline and/or department to create, develop, revise, and implement a course or program. i. Course development for online courses will follow the process listed below. The faculty, department chairs, and Academic ▇▇▇▇/Supervising Administrators share responsibility for collaboration in: a. Deciding which courses need to be developed as a master course (see definition). b. Selecting faculty for the redesign or development team based on online certification, experience teaching an online course, development experience, and interest. c. Assuring that before a faculty member is selected for development of any online course, he/she must successfully complete DEV 101. d. Assuring that any faculty member who is creating an online course, either as a master course or their own course will receive the full support of the FSW instructional design team. ii. If a faculty member develops a course without reassigned time, the course belongs to the faculty member and is not considered a master course to be shared, although the faculty member has the right to share the course with colleagues if he or she desires. a. Any master course for which the faculty member receives reassigned time belongs to the college and will be distributed accordingly. b. All new online courses must be evaluated using a QM rubric and must meet the Quality Matters Review Expectations to be placed on the schedule. A tiered scheduled for existent courses will be developed in collaboration with the eLearning and the Academic Technology Committee (ATC). c. The faculty member who developed a master course will be responsible for minor updates for three (3) years. If substantial updates are required after three years, the development process will start over. After three (3) years, minor edits will be a collaborative effort of faculty using the master course. d. Faculty will be paid incentives for training, using OER, and receiving a QM certification through a QM Review (amounts of stipends are found in Appendix B).

Online Course Development. (a) Upon approval by the appropriate ▇▇▇▇, a faculty will receive compensation of $2,000 for the development of an online course that the faculty member has not previously developed. Proposed courses must be submitted in writing for review and pre-approved in writing by the appropriate ▇▇▇▇. (b) Before the course can be placed on the master schedule, the course shall be reviewed according to the policies and procedures outlined in the current Faculty Handbook for Online Education. The Executive Council shall review and make recommendations to the policies and procedures. (c) The College, in collaboration with faculty, strives to ensure that courses adhere to universal design standards as appropriate. This includes any modifications needed to multimedia materials as a result of changes in technology standards or functionality. (d) Faculty who utilize a publisher’s course cartridge of commercially available/produced online courseware and other instructional materials as the primary source of instruction will not be compensated for course development. (e) Payment will be processed upon final delivery and approval of the final product by the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ or designee. This compensation will be awarded regardless of whether or not the course is cancelled. (f) The College recognizes that due to the ever-changing nature of technology, it will be necessary at times for the multimedia course components of online courses to be updated in order for them to function properly. The faculty member shall submit in writing to the ▇▇▇▇ a proposal outlining the modifications needed for the maintenance of the online course multimedia materials as a result of changes in technology standards or functionality. Upon approval by the ▇▇▇▇, the faculty member shall receive a stipend mutually agreed upon by the ▇▇▇▇, the faculty member, and the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Payment will be processed upon delivery and approval of the final product by the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ or designee.

Online Course Development. Concordia University shall be responsible for developing and providing the Concordia University Materials for the Programs and supporting Instructors in the design and development of the Concordia University Materials. Online courses shall be developed with the quality, features, and functionality that makes them reasonably competitive and comparable with Concordia University’s peer institutions. Greenwood Hall will provide reasonable consultations as needed by Concordia University regarding online course development approaches, new technologies, and methods. At an additional expense and at Concordia University’s sole discretion, Greenwood Hall can also provide Concordia University with instructional design and technical personnel to assist in the development of courses and/or on-going consulting services.

  • Supplier Development If the Buyer detects performance problems of the Supplier based on the supplier monitoring, he shall initiate improvement measures at the Supplier. The Buyer shall monitor the possibilities of continuous improvement of the Supplier and declares his support for the continuous development of the QMS of his suppliers in accordance with this QAA. The information required for this purpose is passed on to the Supplier. The supplier audit is a form of supplier development by the Buyer and also serves the exchange of information and experience between the Buyer and the Supplier.

  • Career Development The City and the Union agree that employee career growth can be beneficial to both the City and the affected employee. As such, consistent with training needs identified by the City and the financial resources appropriated therefore by the City, the City shall provide educational and training opportunities for employee career growth. Each employee shall be responsible for utilizing those training and educational opportunities made available by the City or other institutions for the self- development effort needed to achieve personal career goals.

  • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • Program Development NWESD agrees that priority in the development of new applications services by WSIPC shall be in accordance with the expressed direction of the WSIPC Board of Directors operating under their bylaws.
