Safety and Health Guidelines. The Employer shares an interest with bargaining unit employees in maintaining a safe work and school environment. In furtherance of that interest:
Safety and Health Guidelines. (a) Without limitation to the other provisions of this agreement, the Contractor must comply with the Safety and Health Guidelines. (b) If there is any inconsistency between a provision of the Safety and Health Guidelines and any other provision of this agreement, the other provision of this agreement will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
Safety and Health Guidelines. Urban Prep shares an interest with bargaining unit members in maintaining a safe work and school environment. In furtherance of that interest: 12.6.1. Urban Prep shall develop upon request and in consultation with the Union, and distribute to bargaining unit members, and consistently apply a school visitor policy that provides for who can access the school buildings at what times and for what reasons, and the procedures through which visitor access permission may be secured. 12.6.2. Bargaining unit members shall have access to the school building to which they are assigned from one (1) hour before the beginning of their work day through two (2) hours after the end of their work day. 12.6.3. Urban Prep shall develop policies on fire safety, school lockdowns, school evacuations and first aid. Bargaining unit members shall be trained on said policies prior to the conclusion of the first quarter each school year. 12.6.4. Urban Prep shall make every effort to ensure that all classroom entry points are lockable, and the teacher and other appropriate staff have a key. 12.6.5. Urban Prep shall disseminate a policy and provide training to newly hired bargaining unit members concerning their professional and statutory duties as mandated reporters within their first month of employment. Urban Prep shall make every effort to ensure that all classroom doors with windows shall be furnished with shades on the interior side of the window. 12.6.6. No legally unauthorized bargaining unit employee may provide or administer medications to students. The administration of medication should be referred to the appropriate school personnel (e.g., the school nurse) as identified by the Principal. (Council specific.) 12.6.7. Urban Prep shall ensure that all entry points of all its school buildings are secure.
Safety and Health Guidelines. In furtherance of the Parties' shared interest in maintaining a safe work and school environment: (a) In order to ensure that all entry points of its school building are secure, Namaste shall develop, distribute to Bargaining Unit Members, and consistently apply a school visitor policy that provides for who can access the school buildings at what times and for what reasons, and the procedures through which visitor access permission may be secured. (b) Bargaining Unit Members have access to the Namaste' s school building on work days as follows, from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Fridays. (c) Namaste shall develop policies on fire safety, school lockdowns, school evacuations and first aid. Bargaining Unit Members shall be trained on said policies prior to the conclusion of the first quarter each school year. In the event that following ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇'s dissemination of policies and training, any Bargaining Unit Member does not understand or has questions regarding his or her duties and responsibilities set forth in this subsection, s/he shall promptly and affirmatively seek assistance from the Director of Operations in that regard. (d) ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall ensure that by the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, all classroom entry points are lockable from inside of the classroom, and the teacher and other appropriate staff have a key. (e) ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall disseminate a policy and provide training to newly hired Bargaining Unit Members concerning their professional and statutory duties as mandated reporters within their first month of employment. (f) No legally unauthorized Bargaining Unit Member shall be expected to administer medications to students. The administration of medication should be referred to the appropriate school personnel, as identified by the Executive Director and any questions or concerns must be directed to the student's guardian.

Teachers shall be trained on said policies prior to the conclusion of the first quarter each school year.

In furtherance of that interest: 8-6.1 AHS shall develop, distribute to bargaining unit employees, and consistently apply a school visitor policy that provides for who can access the school buildings at what times and for what reasons, and the procedures through which visitor access permission may be secured. 8-6.2 Bargaining unit employees shall have access to the school building to which they are assigned from one (1) hour before the beginning of their work day through two (2) hours after the end of their work day.
Safety and Health Guidelines. ‌ The Employer shares an interest with bargaining unit employees in maintaining a safe work and school environment. In furtherance of that interest: 1. The Employer has developed and will consistently apply a school visitor policy that provides for who can access school buildings at what times and for what reasons, and the procedures through which visitor access permission may be secured. Employer shall distribute a copy of this policy to bargaining unit employees. 2. The Employer shall develop policies on fire safety, school lockdowns, school evacuations, and first aid. Bargaining unit employees shall be trained on said policies prior to the conclusion of the first quarter of each school year. 3. The Employer shall ensure that all classroom entry points are lockable, and that the teacher and other appropriate staff have a key. All classroom doors shall be lockable from the inside of the classroom. All classroom doors with windows shall be furnished with shades on the interior side of the window. School spaces such as the gym and auditorium which are sometimes used to conduct classes will be exempt from this requirement. Employer will also ensure that all classroom entry points meet the regulations of NOLA Public Schools and other governing authorities. In the event that such regulations conflict with this paragraph, the regulations shall be controlling. 4. The Employer shall disseminate a policy and provide training to newly hired bargaining unit employees concerning their professional and statutory duties as mandated reporters within their first month of employment. 5. Any appropriately trained bargaining unit employee may provide or administer medications to students. Under normal circumstances the administration of medication should be referred to the appropriate school personnel (e.g., the school nurse) as identified by the CEO/Principal. 6. The Employer shall ensure that all entry points of all its school buildings are secure. An employee who observes an insecure entry point will secure the entry point or notify the COO or in his or her absence, the facilities manager.

In the furtherance of that interest: 10.2.4.1 Bargaining unit employees shall have access to the school building to 10.2.4.2 The Employer is required by law to develop policies on fire safety, school lockdowns, shelter-in-place, school evacuations and first aid. Bargaining unit employees shall be trained on said policies prior to the first day of student instruction each school year.

Bargaining unit employees shall be trained on said policies prior to the first day of student instruction each school year.

  • SAFETY AND HEALTH A. The Employer agrees to provide a safe, clean wholesome surrounding in all places of employment. B. Each Department head shall issue instructions to all supervisory personnel to carry out the provisions of this Article. C. When an employee reports any condition which he/she believes to be injurious to his/her health to the administrative head of a work location, the administrative head shall correct the situation if within his/her authority, or shall report said complaint to his/her supervisor. D. A copy of the provisions of this Article shall be conspicuously posted in each work location. E. In all new places of employment, where the Union alleges that the air quality is inferior, the person in charge of the location will make reasonable efforts to have air quality checked. If the air quality is found to be sub-standard, the person in charge of the location shall make reasonable efforts to improve it. F. Whenever temperature inside any work location is unusually hot or cold, the person in charge of such work location shall immediately contact the person responsible for the building to determine the cause and probable length of time necessary to correct the problem. G. The Employer will make every reasonable effort to ▇▇▇▇▇ asbestos containing materials as recommended by the Division of Occupational Hygiene. Where such cleanup is not possible, the Employer will make every effort to avoid making work assignments, which will unduly expose employees to known hazardous materials. H. Pregnant employees who work in conditions/situations deemed hazardous or dangerous to the pregnancy by the attending physician may request a temporary reassignment within their job description or a comparable position, and may be reassigned within two (2) weeks of notification for the duration of the pregnancy. Upon request by management, the employee will provide medical evidence. Such work assignments shall be determined by the appointing authority or his/her designee. This request must be made in writing to the Appointing Authority. I. Grievances involving the interpretation or application of the provisions of this Article may be processed through Step III of the grievance procedure set forth in Article 23, but may not be the subject of arbitration. Section 19.2 The Parties agree to establish a program to monitor air quality at new and existing worksites. The parties agree to negotiate over the specific provisions of such a protocol within 60 days. Section 19.3 The parties agree to establish a safety and security committee to study all state buildings and leased property where state employees work. The mission of the study will be to establish more consistent safety and security policies to ensure the safety and security of all state employees at their work site and citizens of the Commonwealth that visit state agencies. In addition, the parties agree to establish a training program to promote the safety and security of all state employees that may include, but shall not be limited to active shooter training, front line security, and reception practices and protocol for 911 emergencies.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Acts Contractor(s) who perform any work under this contract shall fully comply with the provisions of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and any amendments thereto and regulations pursuant to the act. Any Contractor who fails to do so may be terminated for cause as set forth below.

  • OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH A. Consultant will perform the Services in compliance with the most current versions of all laws, standards, rules, and regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and all state and federal laws and regulations relating to safety and health standards. Consultant shall perform the Services in compliance with, will furnish only supplies, articles, and equipment that comply with such laws, standards, and regulations. B. Consultant shall immediately notify Valley Water in the event of any personal injury accident or occurrence occurring during the performance of the Services. Upon Valley Water’s request, Consultant shall provide Valley Water with documentation fully describing the accident and injury and the actions implemented to prevent similar occurrences.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act The Employer, the Union, and the Employees recognize they are bound by the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, S.N.S. 1996, c.7, and appropriate federal acts and regulations. Any breach of these obligations may be grieved pursuant to this Agreement.

  • COMPLIANCE WITH OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH By submission of a bid in response to this solicitation, the Bidder certifies that all material, equipment, etc., contained in their bid meets all OSHA requirements. Bidder further certifies that if they are the awarded Contractor, and the material, equipment, etc., delivered is subsequently found to be deficient in any OSHA requirements in effect on date of delivery, all costs necessary to bring the material, equipment, etc., into compliance with the aforementioned requirements shall be borne by the Contractor.
