The 'Senior Instructor' clause defines the role, responsibilities, and qualifications required for an individual designated as a Senior Instructor within an agreement or organization. Senior Instructor. II*: A full-time assignment (1.0 FTE) shall consist of 45 load hours. The fixed-term Senior Instructor II rank will have two load options. If the needs of the program are such that no service, outreach, and/or scholarship are required for the position, the load assignment will consist of 45 librarianship hours. If the needs of the program are such that service, outreach, and/or scholarship are required for the position, the load assignment will consist of 36 librarianship hours and 9 hours assigned as scholarship, service, and outreach, or some combination thereof. Faculty holding rank of Senior Instructor II will receive compensation according to the Assistant Professor salary matrix.
Senior Instructor. Appointment at or promotion to the rank of Senior Instructor requires evidence of excellence in teaching, demonstrated educational leadership, involvement in curriculum development and innovation, and other teaching and learning initiatives. It is expected that Senior Instructors will keep abreast of current developments in their respective disciplines, and in the field of teaching and learning. A Senior Instructor may be promoted to the rank of Professor of Teaching in the fifth or subsequent years in rank.
Senior Instructor. To be employed at the rank of Senior Instructor (non-tenure track) at the University the candidate must have the following credentials: 1. Master's degree or higher in area of teaching specialization and professional experience related to the teaching area and, where applicable, certification/licensure in a specialized area; or 2. Bachelor's degree in area of teaching specialization and professional experience related to the teaching area and, where applicable, certification/licensure in a specialized area, and three (3) years of full-time teaching (or applicable) experience as an instructor at a regionally accredited institution.
Senior Instructor. An instructor who has taught a minimum of five separate academic years at 0.5 annual FTE or more at the University with satisfactory evaluations in each of those five (5) years shall be appointed senior instructor effective the following September. The 0.5 annual FTE is based upon a nine (9) month appointment at the University and on the teaching of credit bearing and/or applicable courses. Summer quarter FTE may be included in the calculation of 0.5 annual FTE. Appointment to Senior Instructor shall not result in additional duties without compensation beyond the senior instructor salary increase.

Senior Instructor. 11.4.1 Appointment at the Rank of Senior Instructor Without Tenure
Senior Instructor. In addition to the same tasks, responsibilities and prerequisites of an Instructor, the Senior Instructor also lends his support to the Training Manager to assist in the coordination of work within the Training department and may replace the Training Manager in his absence. The Senior Instructor provides support to the Instructors, through coaching, training and problem solving on work-related issues. 4.04.03 Process Auditor Comprising those employees who possess the qualifications of a Certified Aircraft Mechanics Technician or Certified Aircraft Avionics Technician, engaged in the verification of airworthiness, safety, internal policy and procedures, in accordance with manufacturer’s and CARs best practices and company standards. The Process Auditor also certifies the airworthiness of the various aircraft, and conducts internal, external, scheduled and non-scheduled conformity inspections as assigned.
Senior Instructor. An instructor Member, after completion of at least four (4) years of service or as provided in Clause 12.14, shall have the right to be considered for classification as Senior Instructor, and upon classification as Senior Instructor appointment shall be on a continuing term basis commencing at the beginning of the sixth year. In counting years of service towards a continuing appointment as Senior Instructor, any years in which a Member would have been eligible for membership in the bargaining unit, had it existed, may, with the consent of the instructor Member, be included. Subject to Article 28, an instructor Member with a continuing appointment may be dismissed for cause; in addition, their appointment may be terminated in accordance with the provisions of this Collective Agreement relating to resignation, retirement, or through the procedures provided in Articles 25 and 27.
Senior Instructor. A Senior Instructor is a faculty member with teaching and service workloads who normally will have the following minimum qualifications: (a) A master's degree or professional accreditation equivalent to a master's degree, or considerable work leading to a doctoral degree, or professional study and experience deemed the equivalent of a master's degree; (b) Aptitude for teaching university students as outlined in Article 28.10 (b)(i) and; (c) Evidence of commitment to a record of service as outlined in Article 28.10 (b)(ii).
