Time Off for. A Representative shall obtain the permission of his immediate supervisor before leaving his work to investigate a grievance, to meet with management for the purpose of dealing with grievances, and to attend meetings called by management. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied. Representative shall make every reasonable effort to report back to his supervisor before resuming his normal duties. Where operational requirements permit and upon reasonable notice, the Employer will grant leave without pay for a reasonable number of employees:
Time Off for. Any representative of the Union on this Committee, or his alternate, who is in the employ of the Employer, shall have of attending meetings of the Committee held within working hours without loss of remuneration, provided that the work site has reasonable notice.
Time Off for. Where meetings of the Bargaining Committee occur during working hours, Union members of the Committee shall not suffer loss of remuneration due to attendance at such meetings.

Election of Stewards In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or elect five (5) stewards, whose duties shall be to assist any employee whom the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ represents, in preparing and presenting her grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure. Employees shall not be eligible to serve as stewards unless they have been in the Employer's continuous employ for not less than six (6) months,

During meetings of the Joint Bargaining Committee, an employee who is on the Joint Bargaining Committee and who is scheduled to work the afternoon or night shift shall have shift rescheduled upon request by the employee to the Superintendent of Business one week prior to the Joint Bargaining Committee meeting. ARTICLE SENIORITY OF FULL-TIME AND PERMANENT PART-TIME Seniority is defined as date of hire. Seniority and the ability to perform the work shall govern all promotions, transfers, demotions, layoffs and recalls.
