Types of Activities Clause Samples
The "Types of Activities" clause defines and limits the specific actions, services, or operations that are permitted or contemplated under an agreement. It typically outlines which activities are authorized, restricted, or prohibited, providing clear boundaries for what parties can and cannot do—such as specifying whether subcontracting, certain business practices, or use of particular technologies are allowed. This clause serves to ensure mutual understanding of the scope of permitted conduct, thereby reducing the risk of disputes over unauthorized or unintended activities.

Types of Activities. Activities in which volunteers may be engaged in could include any of the following: Listening to pupils read. Supporting pupils in practical lessons. Supporting staff on school trips. Supporting pupils in sports activities. Observing children and teachers. Volunteers will be advised that completion of the legal requirements / application process can vary but may take up to 3 months. Anyone wishing to work as a volunteer should request a Volunteer Application Pack from Mrs J Waldron, who is responsible for co-ordinating volunteers in school. This should be completed and returned with the necessary original Identity documents to facilitate an Enhanced DBS check (excluding a Barred List check) and for two references to be sought. As part of the application process the school will require the names and addresses of two referees. Previous contact with the referee should be no longer than 6 months. A referee may not be a family member and will preferably be a previous employer or representative of an organisation where the volunteer has previously been established. The volunteer will be expected to sign a confidentiality agreement and will not be placed in a class with any family connection. One off volunteers i.e. assisting with a school walk, a fund raising event or a school visit will not require a DBS check but the volunteer will remain under the continuous supervision of a member of staff undertaking a regulated activity, usually the class teacher. 1.1. Thematic units We base our activities on the individual integrated thematic units, which are chosen with regard to the season. Each month, we explore a new topic, which is divided into parts by weeks. The thematic units include all the above stated educational areas. The thematic units are based on the real world and their aim is to provide children with useful and practical stimuli.
1.2. Spontaneous activities versus guided activities Spontaneous games are very important for children, because they are connected with their self-expression and help them discover their own identity, individuality and fantasy. Spontaneous games are therefore present throughout the whole day, according to the current needs of the child. They are mutually connected with guided activities.
