Work Safety. No employee shall be subject to disciplinary action by reason of the employee’s failure or refusal to operate or handle any piece of equipment or work in any work situation that the employee believes will place him or a third party in imminent danger of injury. If it is later proven that the employee’s objection was not legitimate, then this paragraph would not prevent the City from taking disciplinary action for the employee’s failure or refusal to perform his duties. It is the obligation of any employee to immediately contact his immediate supervisor, department director, or the City Risk Management division to report any equipment or working condition that appears to be unsafe for authorization to proceed with operations. If it is found that an employee has knowingly failed to meet this obligation, that employee may be subject to disciplinary action.
Work Safety. The Employer shall provide without cost to the bargaining unit member the following: 1. Approved first aid kits and materials in all work areas. 2. Adequate and approved safety equipment including, but not limited to, goggles, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, barriers, hard hats, and auditory protection devices. 3. Physical examinations as required as a condition of employment. 4. The cost of all criminal record checks and fingerprinting not related to the initial employment will be reimbursed by the Board to all employees subjected by statute to have a criminal records check for 98-99, 99-00, 00-01.
Work Safety. The Contractor shall provide and enforce a safe work environment as prescribed in the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended. The Contractor will provide such safety equipment, training and supervision as may be required by the City and/or Government. The Contractor shall ensure that its subcontracts contain a similar safety provision.
Work Safety. (a) Any employee becoming aware of an unsafe working condition or an accident will immediately report the condition or accident to the employee's immediate supervisor and also will record and submit a written report of the unsafe working condition or accident to the employee's immediate supervisor within the same work day. If it is impossible to submit the written report within the same work day, the written report will be submitted by the employee within 24 hours of the initial verbal report. If the employee needs assistance with writing the report, the Company's Safety Manager shall assist the employee. Failure to report an unsafe working condition or an accident will result in discipline, up to and including termination. Employees who feel that a work assignment is unsafe have the right to refuse to perform the work without fear of discipline, pending review of the unsafe condition by an active safety committee member and a member of management. (b) The Company Safety Manager will present any submitted reports to the Safety and Health Committee at its next meeting. If further investigation of the matter is determined by the Company or the Safety and Health Committee to be necessary, the Safety and Health Committee shall conduct a thorough investigation and report in writing to the Company its findings, conclusions, and recommendations, if any. (c) An employee who has engaged in an unsafe work practice, fails to follow established safety procedures, fails to use required or provided safety equipment or protective clothing, commits unsafe acts, or has failed to notify the employee's supervisor of an unsafe condition or accident may be subject to coaching, counseling or disciplinary action, up to and including discharge. Any employee who willfully or intentionally engages in such misconduct may be immediately discharged, and if discharged, the discharge shall be deemed and regarded by the parties as for just cause. The question of whether an employee willfully or intentionally engaged in such misconduct shall be subject to grievance and arbitration under Articles 6 and 7 of this Agreement.
Work Safety. Blood borne pathogen training may be available upon request of the employee. Hepatitis B vaccines and tuberculosis testing may be available to employees at a minimal cost to the employee.
Work Safety. 15.1 THE EMPLOYER shall take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of its employees while they are working. Employees shall comply with all rules, policies and procedures covering health and safety published by THE EMPLOYER from time to time. 15.2 You shall take all reasonable steps to protect their own health, safety and welfare and the health, safety and welfare of others during the course of carrying out your duties under this Agreement.
Work Safety. The School District will refund an expense up to $400.00 per year for safety clothing and equipment for each maintenance employee, at the discretion of the Supervisor of Building and Grounds. In order to obtain said refund the employee agrees to furnish Central office with a receipt of purchase.

Work Safety. A. No employee below journeyman level will be required to perform work outside his/her position description that may constitute risk of personal injury to himself/herself or damage to equipment without supervision of a journeyman or supervisor qualified in the trade or craft. B. Only qualified personnel will be required to repair or adjust moving or operating machinery. The Employer and employees will maintain all equipment in safe working condition and provide for periodic inspection and overhaul. C. The Employer will consider requests from an employee to be excused from overtime work if he/she has a known health problem that is supported by a current doctor's certificate that restricts the employee's daily hours of work.
Work Safety. 1. The scope of the wind power project includes the areas where wind towers, power transmission lines, electrical substation and other auxiliary items. Safety corridor of wind power works, safety corridor of the lines and electrical substation shall comply with the technical standards and regulations on electrical equipment, regulations on safety for high-voltage power grid and other law regulations on power work safety. 2. The wind power work must be 300 m away from the residential area. 3. Wind power turbine and wind power tower must be bright in color and must be non-reflective.
