BENEFITS IN ADDITION TO SALARY. The Board shall provide the Business Administrator, as part of his compensation, with the following annual benefits:

A. Medical Insurance: The Board shall provide as part of the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction compensation medical, prescription and dental insurance coverage similar to other certified staff members. The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction shall contribute toward health benefits pursuant to Ch78 P.L. 2011 and as required and in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:16-17, 17.1. The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction may waive coverage in any of the health benefit plans if covered through a spouse, civil union or domestic partner’s health plan, and in accordance with procedures established by the Board. The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction will be paid the lessor of 25% (twenty-five percent) or $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars) of the cost of said coverage for waiving such coverage.
B. Sick Leave: The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction shall be entitled to twelve (12) sick leave days with pay each year as of the first official day of the school year. Unused sick leave shall accumulate from year to year.
a. Upon the retirement by the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction after completing at least ten (10) years of employment in the district, the Board of Education shall compensate the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for unused accumulated sick leave upon the following basis:
i. One (1) day for every three (3) days of unused accumulated sick leave to a maximum of ninety (90) paid days;
ii. provided, however, that the compensation for unused accumulated sick leave paid upon retirement shall not exceed $15,000;
iii. per diem rate will be valued at 1/260 of the annual base salary.
C. Temporary Leave of Absence (Personal Days): The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction may be granted up to three (3) days of temporary leave of absence, with pay, for personal matters which require absence during school hours. Personal days are non-cumulative and the Board will not compensate for any unused personal leave. An Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction who is required to undergo military field training or to attend deployment during any school year shall be granted a leave of absence with pay in accordance with law. BENEFITS IN ADDITION TO SALARY. A. The Principal of the Lincoln School shall be granted twelve (12) sick days during the term of this contract. Any unused sick leave shall be cumulative in accordance with the provisions of Title 18A.
B. The Board shall provide hospitalization, health, and other insurance to the Principal of the Lincoln School to the same extent as such insurance coverage that is provided for other administrators employed by the Board. In addition, the Board shall reimburse ▇▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for medical and/or dental expenses incurred for herself, her spouse or dependent(s) which are not covered under the District’s health insurance plan, including but not limited to eyeglasses, contact lenses, and prescription co-pays, not exceeding $500.00 annually.
C. The Board shall reimburse the Principal for professional membership dues incurred by him in connection with membership in the following organizations: New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association ▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Principals Association ▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Curriculum Network National Association of Elementary Principals Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development
D. The Principal of the Lincoln School shall be entitled to twenty (20) vacation days annually at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools. Five vacation days may be carried over to the following school year with the prior approval of the Superintendent.
E. The Principal of the Lincoln School shall be entitled to (3) personal days annually. Unused personal days shall not be cumulative, but shall be converted to sick days and added to her accumulated sick leave on July 1, 2008.
F. The Principal of the Lincoln School shall receive fourteen (14) holidays in accordance with the calendar for twelve-month employees.
G. The fringe benefits and leave as provided in this Article III shall constitute all fringe benefits and leave to which the Principal of the Lincoln School shall be entitled during the term of this contract.
H. The Principal of the Lincoln School shall be entitled to be reimbursed for expenses, including automobile mileage, which she personally incurred or advances directly in connection with discharge of her duties.
I. The sum of $1,000.00 shall be budgeted for the purpose of paying fees and costs incurred through attendance at programs, seminars, workshops, and conventions for the purpose of professional growth and development with prior approval of the Superintendent.
BENEFITS IN ADDITION TO SALARY. A. The Board shall provide the Business Administrator with individual or family health benefits coverage and ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ agrees to pay a portion of the premium costs for such health benefits in the amount of one and a half percent (1.5%) of his annual salary. The Board shall pay the remaining premium costs for all such coverage, not to exceed the costs paid on behalf of teaching staff members as of the date of the signing of this Contract. Such limitation shall in no way link this Contract with any agreement collectively negotiated with district employees. Payment to be paid by the Business Administrator shall be effectuated through payroll deduction.

BENEFITS IN ADDITION TO SALARY. A. The Chief School Administrator shall receive 15 sick days annually. Unused sick leave days shall be cumulative in accordance with the provisions of Title 18A. The board will create a sick leave bank for the Chief School Administrator with sick days accrued during previous years of employment upon the commencement of the contract. Upon retirement or termination the board shall provide compensation for accumulated sick leave days. Such payment is subject to a maximum of $15,000. Per Diem rate shall be calculated based on 1/260 of annual salary.
B. The Board of Education shall reimburse the CSA $80.00 per month for the use of her personal Smartphone and provide the CSA with a laptop computer which will remain the property of the Neptune City Board of Education.
C. The Chief School Administrator shall be entitled to an allowance at the Board’s expense for professional dues for the following professional associations: NJASA, AASA and the County Administrators Association and/or other organizations deemed important by the board. The Chief School Administrator may hold additional memberships in other organizations as budgeted. The Chief School Administrator also shall be entitled to reimbursement for expenses incurred for attendance at professional conferences as budgeted by the Board and similar expenses which may be incurred while discharging the dutiesof Chief School Administrator. Such reimbursement shall conform to N.J.S.A. 18A:11-12, as enacted by P.L.2007 c.

In the event of extended illness or disability which requires a prolonged absence beyond the number of sick days he may have accumulated, ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may apply to the Board pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:30-6 for extended sick leave for a period not to exceed 30 additional work days. The Board will not unreasonably deny such an application provided that ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ need for a prolonged absence is adequately supported by certification of a medical practitioner.
B. Upon retirement from the North Hunterdon-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Regional High School District, ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will receive payment for unused accumulated sick days in an amount equivalent to one day’s pay, calculated at the rate of 1/260th of his annual salary, for each two unused sick days which he will have accumulated as of the effective date of retirement, up to a maximum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15 ,000.00). Payment of this amount shall be a non-elective employer contribution to the Board’s Section 403(b) retirement plan. Monies will be contributed to the plan by the Board on behalf of ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ in five equal installments, one in each of the five years following his retirement, each in an amount up to the maximum allowed by law. Funds wil l be held by the Board until such time as each annual contribution becomes due, and ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall have no right to or interest in such funds until payment is due. In the event of ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ death before the date on which the last contribution on hi s behalf becomes due, no further contributions shall be made on his behalf pursuant to this provision. No payment shall be made pursuant to this provision to ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ estate or beneficiaries under a will. Further, this benefit shall be suspended in the event that charges against ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ have been forwarded to the Commissioner of Education and shall be forfeited if such charges are upheld.
C. ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be entitled to three personal days each year, and if not used, they may be rolled over each year into sick days.
D. ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be entitled to up to five days at any time in the event of death of his parent, spouse, child, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, or other member of the immediate household. BENEFITS IN ADDITION TO SALARY. A. The Board Secretary/School Business Administrator shall be granted twelve (12) sick days during the term of this contract. Any unused sick leave shall be cumulative and available for sick leave, if needed, in subsequent years.
B. The Board shall provide hospitalization, health, and other insurance to the Board Secretary/School Business Administrator to the same extent as such insurance coverage that is provided for members of the Rockaway Borough Education Association.
C. The Board shall reimburse the Board Secretary/School Business Administrator for professional membership dues incurred by him in connection with membership in the following organizations: ▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Association of School Officials New Jersey Association of School Business Officials New Jersey School Board Associations Association of Business Officials International In addition, the Board agrees to pay up to $1,000.00 per year for the purpose of graduate school tuition and/or continuing professional education fees.
D. The Board Secretary/School Business Administrator shall earn 20 vacation days during the 2009 – 2010 school year. During a leave of absence, vacation time will be prorated accordingly. One less day of vacation time will be granted for each month of a leave of absence. All vacation must have prior approval of the Superintendent or the Board of Education. All vacation time must be used prior to June 30, 2010. Unused vacation time shall not be cumulative.
