Cost Controls. The Grantee will comply with HUD guidance and policies regarding cost controls that establish reasonable costs for administration, planning, technical assistance, and fees and costs. These costs are limited to the costs of implementing the development as specifically approved by HUD, such as fees for development services, architectural and engineering work, program management (if any), and reasonable legal fees. You may not use HOPE VI Revitalization Grant funds to pay for any revitalization activities carried out on or before the date of the letter announcing the award of the HOPE VI Grant (October 25, 2005).

Cost Controls a) If the property is uninsured, the Contractor will not bill Professional Dispatch Services Incorporated (PDSI), Hillsboro Fire Department, the tenant, or the property owner.
b) The Contractor will, at no time, bill the Hillsboro Fire Department under any circumstance.
c) The Incident Commander may not, and probably will not, know if the property is properly insured at the time of initial board-up request.
d) Contractor shall agree to charge industry standard rates for all work done, Contractor shall disclose rate sheet to Hillsboro Fire prior to being called out.
e) The Hillsboro Fire Department will not be charged, be involved in, or be responsible for any billing disputes
f) The Contractor agrees to hold the Hillsboro Fire Department harmless for any work done by the Contractor. The Contractor agrees that the City of Hillsboro or any other participating agencies or departments will not be charged, in any way, for board up or property security services
g) The request for service will be initiated by (PDSI), the Contractor will only bill the property owners’ insurance carrier.
