Curriculum Coordinators. Based on District needs, Curriculum Coordinator positions may include but need not be limited to the following teaching areas: Art, Business Education, Computer Science, Foreign Language, Guidance, Family and Consumer Science, Industrial Arts, Science, School Nurses, and Social Studies. The District shall make every attempt to assign teaching periods as consecutive periods and shall attempt to schedule them at the beginning of the school day of the home school and, if possible, limit teaching assignments to one preparation. Curriculum Coordinators shall have no collateral duties except a homeroom, and if a homeroom assignment is necessary, the coordinator's schedule shall include a first period class. The District shall attempt to assign Curriculum Coordinators to only one building for teaching purposes. The scheduling of preparation time shall be in accordance with the language governing preparation time at that level and shall be flexible and at the discretion of the Curriculum Coordinator according to the needs and demands of the day. Each Curriculum Coordinator shall be supplied with a desk, a file cabinet, and designated secretarial assistance. Access to a telephone for Curriculum Coordinators use shall be provided. Curriculum Coordinators shall not allow use of the telephone by other persons as it is restricted to use for Curriculum Coordinator duties. Curriculum Coordinators shall not be used as substitute teachers except in unusual circumstances. If there should be the need to use a Curriculum Coordinator as a substitute teacher, a report of that use shall be made in writing by the building administrator to district administration. Curriculum Coordinators will be invited to participate in the interviewing process for new teachers in their curriculum area. Curriculum Coordinators. Curriculum Coordinators serve as a liaison between the full-time faculty and the administration. Curriculum Coordinators have no supervisory responsibilities for other employees, programs or services. The Curriculum Coordinator convenes faculty meetings within the discipline to discuss both college-wide and discipline related items. These meetings include adjuncts. The Curriculum Coordinator will perform curriculum reviews, assist faculty with any changes in the discipline curriculum, and assists with course-writing and instructional-delivery formats (including online and hybrid formats).
Curriculum Coordinators. The Board shall establish an eleven (11) month schedule for Coordinators of Language Arts, and Math and Science. Employees with such assignments shall be paid on a ratio of 1.1 times their appropriate rate on the salary schedule.

Curriculum Coordinators i. If the Board of Education determines the need for Curriculum Coordinators, a current Teacher shall hold the position. The position shall be voluntary and if no volunteers are available, the Superintendent or his designee and the Association shall meet and resolve the issue.
ii. In the event that the District would require the Curriculum Coordinator to perform duties during the regular school day, a substitute will be provided at no expense to the Teacher.
iii. Compensation for the Curriculum Coordinator positions will be as follows: Coordinators will be compensated with a $3,000 per year stipend to be paid 1/2 in December and 1/2 in June of the given school year. Coordinators will be those identified in the following areas: PE/Health K-12, Fine Arts K-12, CRE/Counseling K-12, Social Studies K-12, Science K-12, Mathematics K-12, and English/Language Arts K-12/Spanish.
iv. Primary responsibilities of Curriculum Coordinators are those spelled out in the following agreement:

2. Primary Responsibilities
a. Work with the Director of Curriculum to ensure that all teachers have the necessary information and resources to implement the Content Expectations, create curriculum documentation such as pacing guides, and syllabi while using sound teaching strategies.
b. Serve as a resource specialist and disseminate current information and materials related to the curriculum to staff in a timely manner.
c. Plan and facilitate 3-6 meetings each school year with staff for professional development and instructional materials selection. Publish meeting agenda and notes as well as a year-end summary to the Director of Curriculum and those on the assigned curriculum team.
d. Participate in planning meetings with the Director of Curriculum and other coordinators quarterly. In coordination with the Director of Curriculum, lead the faculty in the development of common assessment designed to measure student achievement in identified areas. Assist in preparation of parent informational materials in identified area.

Each coordinator will be granted a half-day release time each month. These positions will also cany a stipend, as addressed in Section C of the Article. Non-core Coordinators will be compensated with a $1,000 per year stipend to be paid 1/2 in December and 1/2 in June of the given school year. Non-Core Coordinators will be those identified in the following areas: Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Healthful Living and Physical Education, Vocational/Business, Trades/Industrial Arts, Foreign Language, Guidance, and Media/Library.
f. Qualifications and primary responsibilities of Curriculum Coordinators will be those spelled out in the November 2000, Letter of Agreement between the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Creek Education Association and the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Creek Schools.
