Degree Completion. In recognition of the employee’s increased value to the Employer, the Employer shall provide a salary base increase upon the completion of each academic degree earned after the commencement of employment and after the effective date of this Agreement. Base salary increases will be awarded only on July 1st following completion of the degree program. Official transcripts or other appropriate documentation from the awarding institution must be provided to the Human Resources Office prior to July 1st in order to receive the salary increase. Supervise the Student, or delegate other employees to supervise the Student, at all times during the course of the internship or practicum. 5. Verify in writing all hours and dates worked by the Student with a signature on a document for the Student to provide to the Faculty Advisor (i.e., the log sheet the Student is required to maintain throughout the course of the program); 6. Provide guidance and feedback to the Student throughout the internship or practicum; 7. Protect the confidentiality of any Student information or academic records obtained during the course of the internship or practicum; 8. In the event of termination by the Organization, provide five daysnotice to the Student and Faculty Advisor with reason for termination (unless the reason for termination involves performance deficiencies or conduct that make Student’s continued presence at the internship or practicum site or continued work in the program inappropriate under the circumstances); 9. Complete an evaluation of the Student’s performance at the midpoint of the semester and forward it to the Faculty Advisor within 10 days of receipt of the evaluation form or at the mid-point of the internship, whichever is later; 10. Degree Completion. It is hereby agreed by and between the ▇▇▇▇ Oaks Community College Board of Trustees and the ▇▇▇▇ Oaks Support Staff Employees SMEA that the Collective Bargaining Agreement establishes the minimum guidelines for establishing a ▇▇▇▇▇ member’s hourly pay rate and that the Employer is entitled to augment the hourly pay rate as outlined in the Degree Completion Program at their sole and exclusive discretion. In such event, the Employer retains the exclusive right to establish the regulations associated with the augmented portion and make subsequent modifications to the amounts and regulations and may discontinue the augmentation, all at their sole and exclusive discretion. Degree Completion. If you become degree complete* while in residence, you are required to connect with your Residence Life Co-ordinator; you will be allowed to remain in residence for the remainder of the current term that you become degree complete in. Any contracts for future terms will be cancelled. For example, if you completed your degree requirements on January 17 you would be permitted to remain in residence until the last day of your winter term contract. The initial letter of appointment shall specify a date by which the terminal degree shall be completed. The contract will be renewed annually, pending satisfactory progress toward the completion of the degree as determined by the chair and with the approval of the ▇▇▇▇ and the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. Upon completion of the degree, the faculty member shall be assigned the rank of Assistant Professor and issued a probationary contract beginning the following term. At the request of the faculty member and with the rec- ommendation of the chair and the ▇▇▇▇ and the approval of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, the faculty member will be given up to three years credit toward tenure, but in no case will the faculty member be given credit for more years than she/he has held a Degree Completion Contract.
