Emergency Callout Clause Samples
Emergency Callout. (a) Except as provided in Clause 5.3 and 5.4, an employee reporting for work at the call of the City at any time other than regular working hours, shall be paid at the rate of two (2) times his/her regular straight-time hourly rate of pay for the entire period spent at the place of work in response to the call, with a minimum of three (3) hours at the rate of two (2) times his/her regular straight-time hourly rate of pay.
(b) An employee reporting for work on the call of the City on a Public Holiday shall be paid at the rate of three (3) times his regular rate of pay for the entire period spent at his place of work in response to the call.
Emergency Callout. (i) The Employer agrees to pay all employees a minimum of two (2) hours at overtime rates when they are called back to work outside regular working hours, with the exception of prescheduled evening meetings.
(ii) Effective 2018 April 17: Notwithstanding Section 3(a)(2)(i) above, when an employee who is authorized by the employee’s exempt supervisor or delegate to perform after-hours support receives a telephone call, text or email and is able to respond to the problem over the telephone or by computer or by other electronic means, the employee shall be paid at overtime rates for the time actually worked, rounded to the nearest quarter (¼) hour, with a minimum payment of one quarter (¼) hour.

Emergency Callout. 1. If an employee is called back to work on an emergency basis, said employee shall be compensated for a minimum of two (2) hours time worked at the rate of time and one-half.
2. If such callout is contiguous with the employee’s working hours, the minimum guarantee of two hours shall not be applicable.

(b) An employee reporting for work on the call of the City on a Public Holiday shall be paid at the rate of three (3) times the employee’s regular rate of pay from the time the callout is accepted by the employee with a minimum of three (3) hours at the rate of three (3) times the employee’s regular straight-time hourly rate of pay.
(c) An employee who reports for work at the call of the City as per Clause 5.5 (a) or (b) when the employee is on a scheduled paid day off as per Clause 16 Annual Vacation (including long service leave) or Clause 17 Public Holidays, the employee will be paid according to Clause 5.5 (a) or (b) and their paid leave entitlements will not be reduced for the entirety of that shift.”
Emergency Callout. All employees shall be required to work on emergency callout. If an employee is called back to work after completing his regularly scheduled workday, or during a weekend or holiday, or as part of this standby responsibility he shall be compensated at the overtime rate set forth in Article XVII, with a minimum guarantee of two (2) hour minimum guarantee, payment shall only be made for actual time worked. As has been the past practice, if a second callout occurs after the employee has punched out, but still within the two (2) hour period covered by the initial callout, the employee shall be entitled to an additional callout pay of two (2) hours.
Emergency Callout. Except as provided in Articles 9.3 and 9.4, an employee reporting for work at the call of the Employer in response to an emergency alarm, shall be paid at the rate of two
Emergency Callout. Minimum three (3) hours at double time. A maximum of time and one-half (1½) shall be paid for a replacement shift on the basis of a ten (10) hour Day Shift and a fourteen (14) hour Night Shift. However, any employee called out to work on a Statutory Holiday shall be paid at triple times their regular rate of pay.
Emergency Callout. Where an employee is called out between the hours of 6pm Saturday and 6pm Sunday for an emergency job and the work has not been scheduled in advance then an emergency ‘Call-out’ rate of $20 per hour will apply in addition to the base hourly rate of pay.
