ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS. A. Assist the bus driver with non-driving duties that the attendant has been trained for including, but not limited to, assist with boarding and deboarding students and the securing of restraint systems.
B. Lift and position children on the bus.
C. Supervise students who are being transported from home to school and from school to home.
D. Report symptoms of illness to the teacher and parent/guardian.
E. Report incidence of inappropriate behavior to the school principal and parent/guardian.
F. Working in coordination with the bus driver, assist in pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS o Identifies, assesses and remediates students who have problems in the area of oral communication. o Organizes identified students into instructional groups and provides an instructional program designed to minimize and/or correct their speech disorder. o Consults with teachers of students identified as having problems or oral communication regarding needs of such students. o Assists teachers in identifying and referring students who have possible speech disorders. o Consults with teachers of students with hearing impairments regarding needs of such students. o Provides information and counseling for students, parents and teachers regarding hearing impairments. o Facilitates meetings (i.e. IEP conferences, parent meetings, in-services, etc.) for the purpose of developing Speech and Language plans and/or providing information regarding students’ functional goals. o Plans own schedule and caseload, within resource restraints, to meet identified needs. o Provides information to parents relating to community services available for speech and hearing impaired students. o Evaluates and makes periodic reports of the personal adjustment and educational progress to parents and school personnel of each speech and/or hearing impaired student. o Maintains required site and district records and makes reports as directed. o Serves as resource person for Special Education and other Pupil Personnel Services. o Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements-Qualifications: o to assess students to determine eligibility for speech and language services; o provide speech and language therapy to identified special education students; o consults with teachers regarding accommodations necessary in the general education program; o participate in Student Study Team meetings on the school site. Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required: Valid California Clear Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential; valid California driver's license, Criminal Justice Fingerprint Response.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS. Responds to emergency response alarms, determining equipment and personnel to be deployed and providing input into determining the route to be taken by the fire company; directs work of firefighters pending arrival of a superior officer, supervising laying of hose lines, placement of ladders and apparatus, direction of streams of water, ventilation of buildings, rescue of persons and salvage operations. Performs necessary emergency rescue work and patient care in accordance with established protocols for Basic and enhanced Basic Life Support; administers necessary emergency medical care requiring the use of suction units, immobilization equipment, oxygen delivery systems and other approved equipment. Assigns, directs and supervises company of firefighters in daily station routine, ensuring adherence to applicable City and department policies and procedures and contract; assists and advises subordinates, as necessary, resolving problems as non-routine situations arise; ensures that the routine schedule for the day is followed by all assigned personnel; defines priorities and makes work assignments. Supervises and assist with cleaning, inspection and return of equipment to station after emergency response operations; supervises cleaning and maintenance of department buildings, vehicles and equipment, and assists in requisition and distribution of personal equipment, tools, clothing, etc. Participates and conducts training of subordinate firefighters in various facets of emergency response, including firefighting, emergency rescue, patient care, confined space and hazardous material response methods and techniques; prepares pre-fire plans for buildings and facilities. Prepares and administers tests for subordinates. Performs inspections as required. Evaluates firefighters' performances during emergency and non-emergency response operations; evaluates performance of equipment and apparatus before, during and after emergency response operations; prepares and maintains associated reports for superiors. Supervises and participates in testing of apparatus and equipment to ensure proper operational capacity. Prepares and maintains various activity logs and reports; performs duties of District Chief in his/her absence.
