Scheduling Leave. City seniority shall prevail in scheduling annual, floating holiday, and holiday leave subject to staffing availability, as determined by the Chief of Police or designee. The parties acknowledge the challenging staffing levels within particular civilian classifications and will work collectively to proactively communicate required staffing levels and the associated availability for contractual time off.
Scheduling Leave. It is a mutual responsibility of the employee and the supervisor to schedule leave so that an employee has the opportunity to take the required minimum amount of leave and any leave that will exceed the one hundred and fifty day maximum accrual beginning with the first full pay period in January and ending with the last day of the pay period occurring fifty-two weeks later.
Scheduling Leave. It is a mutual responsibility of the employee and the Department to schedule leave so that an employee has the opportunity to take the required minimum amount of leave and any leave that will exceed the maximum amount listed in 15.5. Leave will be scheduled in accordance with current Department policy and selection shall be made on the basis of seniority. The Department will attempt to give at least 30 days notice to the Union prior to changing the Department leave policy. The Department will attempt, in so far as staffing is available, to provide for two slots of leave per shift throughout the year.
Scheduling Leave. Vacation/Personal Leave shall be scheduled in consonance with the work schedule of the department and shall be subject to the advance approval of the employee's supervisor. Authorization for vacation leave will not be unreasonably withheld or denied. Seniority will be used in the initial assignment and approval of vacation/personal leave. In no cases can seniority be used to displace an employee out of using vacation time that has already been scheduled and approved.
Scheduling Leave. 1. Employees wishing to use their Community Engagement Leave must request such leave at least two (2) weeks in advance, subject to operational requirements. 2. The Employer may deny an employee’s request for leave if the proposed leave interferes with the Employer’s educational and operational activities. Community Engagement Leave may not be used on the first or last day of school, immediately before or after a holiday, or immediately before or after a designated school break, or on other days identified by the Employer. 3. Employees must volunteer during the Employee’s regular work hours to be credited a Community Engagement Leave day. The Employer reserves the right to not compensate an Employee if he or she fails to meet the minimum hour requirement for the Community Engagement Leave day.
Scheduling Leave. 1. Departments shall use good faith efforts to afford employees time off for accrued leave to avoid reaching maximum accumulation. 2. Leave shall be taken at the time convenient to the Authority. Managers shall assume the initiative and responsibility within the first sixty (60) days of the new calendar year for establishing and confirming leave schedules to fit the needs of their work programs. Where need for vacation relief is anticipated, the responsible manager shall obtain approval of same before establishing vacation schedules. The following requirements shall be observed in carrying out such responsibility. 3. When practicable, at the discretion of the responsible supervisor, not less than two-thirds (2/3) of annual leave exceeding five (5) days should be taken at one time. 4. When two (2) or more employees request the same or overlapping vacation periods, the request of the employee with the highest Authority seniority shall prevail over all others. 5. When the dates of an employee’s vacation have been firmly established, the responsible supervisor shall give the employee not less than ten (10) working days’ notice of any change in such employee’s vacation schedule. Otherwise, the employee shall have the right to take vacation at the scheduled time unless the employee voluntarily agrees to delay taking vacation for the convenience of the manager. An employee desiring to return to work at an earlier date than specified on the schedule may do so only with the concurrence of the responsible manager. 6. If an employee works on vacation (regardless of the type of hours utilized) the employee will use accrued leave for all hours except those worked. If an employee works for 4 or more hours while on vacation, then employee will be paid for a full regular day.
Scheduling Leave. Library District seniority shall prevail in scheduling Vacation and Bonus Leave, holidays and floating holidays, subject to availability of the time slots as determined by the supervisor.

Scheduling Leave. A. Except in exigent circumstances not reasonably expected to exceed 30 days, a minimum of 10% of the bargaining unit employees at a job location shall be permitted to take annual leave, BU-10 leave, and/or personal leave at the same time. B. Employees submitting written requests for annual, BU-10, or personal leave by April 15 for the period May 1 through October 31 and by October 15 for the period November 1 through April 30 shall be given preference in order of seniority for scheduling the granting of annual, BU -10, and personal leave for the applicable periods; provided, however, that leave requests of three or more consecutively scheduled workdays in duration shall be scheduled first. C. Annual, BU-10 and personal leave may also be requested any time, subject to availability under Sections A and B above, and shall be granted on a first come, first served basis. The Employer shall maintain a bid roster for such leave indicating the order of when requests are received. When two or more requests are received at the same time, seniority shall prevail. D. Once granted, leave time may not be canceled by the Employer except during times of riot, natural disasters, and exigent circumstances. With respect to scheduled leave involving at least three consecutively scheduled workdays, the employee may only cancel the leave with 10 days advance notice. The Employer may waive this notice requirement, or permit partial cancellation of a scheduled leave, upon a showing of good cause.
