Allowance for overtime Clause Samples

The "Allowance for overtime" clause defines the terms under which employees may work hours beyond their standard schedule and how they will be compensated for this additional time. Typically, this clause outlines eligibility for overtime, the rate of pay (such as time-and-a-half), and any approval processes required before overtime can be worked. Its core practical function is to ensure fair compensation for extra work while providing clear guidelines to both employers and employees, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
