Discipline of Students. The Employer shall assist employees with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline of students in the employees assigned work area based on Board policy and administrative guidelines.
Discipline of Students. When, in the opinion of the counselor, his/her dissemination of a discipline decision will destroy or seriously impair the counselor-counselee relationship, the counselor will so inform the principal or his/her designee and request the principal or his/her designee to disseminate the discipline decision.
Discipline of Students. A. The District and substitute employees shall require acceptable behavior on the part of all students who attend school in the District. Such discipline shall be consistent with the law and District-adopted student discipline policy. B. The District shall support employees in their efforts to maintain discipline and, further, shall support the authority of using prudent disciplinary measures by substitute employees. C. A substitute teacher may remove a pupil from a class session for sufficient cause. The teacher will furnish the principal, as promptly as teaching obligations will allow, full particulars of the above incidents in writing. D. The substitute teacher shall have the responsibility to notify the building administrator of deviant or disruptive behavior of a student which may lead to suspension or expulsion.
Discipline of Students. Employees will be furnished written policies regarding student conduct problems. The employee shall follow such instructions and communicate all incidents immediately to the immediate supervisor. A copy of the Student Code of Conduct shall be furnished to the Union.
Discipline of Students. 10.1 During any Placement any matters of Student discipline within the knowledge of the Organisation will be referred by the Organisation to UWA and will be dealt with by UWA according to its disciplinary policy and procedures.
Discipline of Students. A. Any formal complaints by a parent of a student directed toward a teacher shall be promptly called to the teacher's attention. B. Public Act 103 of 1999 authorizes teachers to suspend a student(s) from his/her class for up to one day for any behavior prohibited by law, the Student Handbook, or Board Policy. Violations meriting removal from class by the teacher include, but are not limited to, persistent misbehavior or disruptions that interfere with classroom procedures, verbally abusing the teacher or other students, refusing to comply with directives, and other forms of unacceptable behavior. In suspending a student from class, teachers are to comply with Act 103 and Board Policy #5233 which is included in the Staff Handbook.
Discipline of Students. The Employer shall support and assist bargaining unit members with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline of students in the bargaining unit members' assigned work area.
Discipline of Students. 6.3.1 Unit members will report immediately to their supervisor any instance of a student whose actions constitute a threat to the safety of the classroom or its occupants, or whose behavior causes a disruption in the education process of other class members. 6.3.2 Any student who demonstrates inability to profit by instruction or unwillingness to comply with class procedures, or whose behavior interferes with the educational process shall be reported by the unit member to the Associate ▇▇▇▇ or his designee, who shall take appropriate action, which may include notification to Navy/Marine Corps officials. 6.3.3 The District shall provide for the defense of any civil action brought against a unit member arising out of a disciplinary action taken by the unit member, unless the District determines that the unit member acted because of actual malice.
Discipline of Students. The Board and Union agree that the students' right to an education shall be zealously protected. It is also agreed that reasonable conditions for learning and protection of the rights of others must be maintained for the welfare of all. In cases of serious disruption(s) by children, the teacher will have the right to temporarily transfer such child or children to the care of the principal or other competent school authority. The teacher shall be required to notify the principal in writing of the reasons for referring the student to the principal's office. The teacher shall have the right to request an immediate conference and consultation as soon as practicable between the teacher, principal, and where appropriate, other staff and/or parents to determine the proper course of action thereafter. Principals and other administrators shall continue to have further rights of suspension as provided by law and the policies and regulations of the District. The principal or principal's designee shall indicate the disposition of the referral on the same notice received from the teacher and return the notice of disposition to the teacher prior to or at the time of re-admission of such child or children to the class.
Discipline of Students. Certified Staff and other certificated personnel shall maintain discipline in the schools, including school grounds which are owned or leased by the Board of Education and used for school purposes and activities. The Administration and Board of Education of School District 144 as well as the Association recognize the seriousness of pupil discipline and the problems surrounding it. The District will continue its efforts to provide a productive and safe learning environment for its students and teachers. The Employer shall support and assist Certified Staff with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline of students. With respect to students who are disruptive or who repeatedly violate rules and regulations, the Employer or its designated representative shall take steps to assist the Certified Staff member in a timely fashion The affected Certified Staff member will be notified of the disposition of the referral as soon as practical. The safety of students and Certified Staff of the District will be considered in all decisions involving student disciplinary matters. The District will keep an open dialogue with Certified Staff on issues involving student discipline. The District agrees that it will follow the reporting requirements set forth in the Illinois School Code, 105 ILCS 5/10- 21.7 “Attacks on School Personnel.”
