Hours compensated. A nurse granted an education day on the nurse’s regularly scheduled day of work shall be compensated for all hours that the nurse would otherwise have worked. An evening or night shift nurse who is taken off the schedule the evening or night shift before the education day shall be compensated for all regular hours the nurse would otherwise have worked on that shift. A nurse granted an education day on the nurse’s regularly scheduled day off shall be compensated eight (8) hours at the nurse’s regular rate of pay.
Hours compensated. A nurse granted time off to attend an educational program outside of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇/Springfield area shall be compensated eight (8) hours at the nurse’s regular rate of pay. A nurse granted time off to attend an educational program in the ▇▇▇▇▇▇/Springfield area of less than six (6) hours, on the nurse’s regular scheduled day of work, shall have the opportunity to work for the remainder of his/her eight-hour work day, to avoid a reduction in hours compensated.

Hours compensated. Time paid, excluding overtime, shall be considered as time worked for purposes of computing seniority, pension coverage, dental, medical, surgical and hospital insurance, and benefits (the percent of holiday, sick leave, vacation, and professional time the nurse receives). If a nurse is excused from a regularly-scheduled shift due to working hours in addition to the regular schedule, then the nurse shall receive all the above accruals on the hours scheduled but not worked.‌ 6.8.1 Scheduled vacation, holiday or use of sick leave for missed work will be used at the nurse’s discretion in the event extra shifts are taken above the nurse’s FTE.

If the nurse does not previously 2 arrange to report to work, the nurse may use PTO or unpaid time, at his or 3 her choice.   • Overtime Compensation 1. Except as provided in this section, Grantee will be responsible for any obligations of premium overtime pay due employees. Premium overtime pay is defined as any compensation paid to an individual in addition to the employee’s normal rate of pay for hours worked in excess of normal working hours. 2. Funds provided under this Contract may be used to pay the premium portion of overtime only under the following conditions: i. With the prior written approval of System Agency; ii. In performance of tests, laboratory procedures, or similar operations that are continuous in nature and cannot reasonably be interrupted or otherwise completed; or v.
