Recognition of Union Stewards. In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the rights and duties of the Union and the Union Stewards. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall assist any employee that the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ represents, in preparing and presenting a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.

Recognition of Union Stewards. The Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall have the right to prepare and present grievances in accordance with the procedure herein provided for and, for that purpose, shall have the right to meet with the employee on behalf of whom the grievance could be submitted.

A ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may assist an employee in presenting her grievance at any stage of the grievance procedure following the submission of a written grievance, if the employee so requests. No more than one bargaining unit member who is a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or union representative shall attend at any such meeting unless mutually agreed between the parties.

The Employer undertakes to instruct all members of its supervisory staff to cooperate with the stewards in the carrying out of the terms and requirements of this agreement. The Union undertakes to instruct its officers, stewards and members, to cooperate with the Employer and with all persons representing the Employer in a supervisory capacity.

Recognition of Union Stewards. The Corporation acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select four (4) stewards, together with an alternate ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, each of whom shall have attained seniority. The names of the stewards shall be given to the Corporation in writing and the Corporation shall not be required to recognize any such ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ until it has been so notified. The Corporation undertakes to instruct all members of its supervisory staff to co-operate with the stewards in the carrying out of the terms and requirements of this Agreement. The Union undertakes to secure from its officers, stewards and members their co-operation with the Corporation and with all persons representing the Corporation in a supervisory capacity.

Recognition of Union Stewards. The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or elect a Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ as well as nine (9) full-time and nine (9) part-time Stewards to represent Employees in the bargaining unit. Employees so selected to represent the Union shall at the time of their appointment have completed their probationary period.

Recognition of Union Stewards. From among the bargaining unit employees employed by the Company, the Union will designate, and the Company will recognize, not more than five (5) union stewards to serve as the Union’s agents in the representation of employees. The individual union stewards will be selected from and assigned to one of the following work areas to represent the employees in that union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ area: (1) Area A: Warehouse Department (2) Area B: Customer Service Department (3) Area C: East Side Fuel Operations (4) Area D: West Side Fuel Operations (Day Shift) (5) Area E: West Side Fuel Operations (Swing-Night Shift) The number of union stewards on the Union Grievance Committee under this Agreement may be modified at any time by the Company and the Union upon their mutually agreeing in writing to such a modification.

All elected officers of the Union (President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer, Recording Secretary) are also recognized as Union Stewards.
