Student Exchange. Each institution may send up to two (2) students, undergraduate or graduate, each academic year. The unit of calculation is student per semester, and one student a year equals two students per semester. However, this number may vary in any given year, depending on the balance of exchanges obtained over the term of the Agreement. Neither the universities nor the exchange students involved on this program pay tuition fees to the host institution. Exchange students will continue to pay any fees as required to their home university. Exchange students are responsible for all their personal costs, including housing, transport, food, health and books. Exchange students must be provided with the correspondent health cover policy valid at the host country throughout the whole period of exchange. In the case of UAM, the university will provide its students with a travel and accident insurance if funds are available for this. Students from [Name of Institution] will be required to endorse the insurance necessary to process their visa and in any case, the will be required, at the least, to be provided with a travel and accident insurance with health coverage. The home university is responsible for screening and selecting students for this exchange program. In general the home university will provide the host university with six months' notice of participating exchange students. Additionally, the home university is responsible for making sure students have the minimum requested level of language, according to Annex I. Exchange students are enrolled as candidates for degrees at their home university and in general are not eligible to be awarded an undergraduate or graduate degree at the host university. Exchange students may enroll at any Faculty/School of the host university where they meet the academic requirements and prerequisites. These include any language requirements for entry. Exchange students who have been accepted by the host institution, are also required to obtain the approval of any teaching units by the receiving institution. Student Exchange. In general both universities agree to consult on the possibilities for student exchange in undergraduate and graduate study. The length of time for these exchanges will be agreed upon in advance of any exchange. Specific times will be determined by both universities. Participating students will continue as candidates for degrees at their home institution and will not be candidates for degrees at the host institution. Both universities agree to develop more specific protocols regarding exchange and collaboration. Exchanges are limited to the specific academic programs agreed to by each university. Exchange students will take courses and seminars in the agreed upon program and, generally, will not be permitted to take courses outside of the specified program. If a student exchange is established, participating students will pay their tuition at their home university, and the host university will waive its tuition for those guest students. Exchange students are also responsible for paying for board, lodging, health insurance, round-trip airfare, and study-related and personal expenses, etc. The two institutions expect that an equal number of students will be exchanged over a two-year period. Each university reserves the right to limit enrollments from the other if the exchange numbers are not in balance over the two-year period.

Student Exchange. 2.2.1 Upon completion of the agreed upon term at the host institution, the participating student must return to the home institution without fail. Any extension of stay must be approved by both institutions. 2.2.2 In the event of either the University or the Affiliate being unable to identify a student for exchange within reasonable time, it is agreed that discussions may take place with regard to the possibility of a staggered exchange. (In this context, “staggered” signifies an exchange which will not take place concurrently.) 2.2.3 The home institution shall acknowledge the academic achievements of the student at the host institution, based on the number of credits completed and/or total hours of academic work involved, as mutually agreed between the two institutions. 2.2.4 The University and the Affiliate agree to take all reasonable action required to ensure the integration of the exchange students in the academic environment at the host institution including pre-departure and arrival orientations. 2.2.5 The University and the Affiliate have authority to withdraw, suspend or terminate a student for academic deficiencies, behavioral violations or other sufficient reason subject to certain procedures afforded to the student. The University and the Affiliate liaisons will consult with each other before suspending a student, except where consultation is not reasonably possible under the circumstances 2.2.6 To the extent permitted by law, the University and the Affiliate agree to inform each other of any specific issues related to the student (i.e., documented disability unless the student discloses, disciplinary action, etc.) as early in the acceptance process as possible to allow for the appropriate advising and counseling of the student regarding the program selected and to facilitate making arrangements on site when possible. 2.2.7 To the extent permitted by law, the Affiliate agree to inform each other of any crisis or emergency related to the students. Additionally, if either the University or the Affiliate determine, in good faith and in its reasonable judgment, that a program needs to be cancelled, students need to be evacuated, different program arrangements including delivery of the academic program need to be made, communications to that effect will be sent immediately to the other party. Student Exchange. Each semester both undergraduate and graduate students may be enrolled at the other university. The two partners will agree upon the number. A balance in exchange numbers will be sought over time; Exchange students shall register at the host university for a maximum of one academic year. Sending two students for one semester shall be considered equivalent to sending one student for a full academic year; The host institution shall facilitate field work by assisting students in gaining access to information, the need for tutoring, etcetera; Exchange candidates shall be nominated by the home university and approved by the host university pursuant to normal procedures. The host university reserves the right to reject an applicant and if so, an additional nominee may be nominated. Student Exchange. General conditions 1. The exchange quota is agreed for ….. undergraduate/graduate students per year from each side. Those who are nominated for one-semester studies at the Host University may prolong their studies by another subsequent semester maximum at a mutual consent of the Parties. 2. Student Exchange. The aim of the exchange program is to afford students an opportunity to have experience of international cooperation and exchange, as well as to gain a better understanding of Thailand and xxxxxx through education. The exchange student is treated as either the research student or specially registered student. The exchange students will be subject to the student rules of the host university, while on exchange. Exchange students will be offered the same facilities as local students. Exchange students will study subjects or conduct research which are pertinent to their field of study and are offered by the host university. The acceptance of course work (lectures, seminars, etc.) taken at the host university and the measure of achievement attained there must be commensurate with the prevailing testing and learning evaluation standards of the home university. Each university will receive a performance evaluation for each student at the host university.

Student Exchange. Students participating in the exchange program shall be enrolled as regular students at their home institution. Other costs incurred by the exchange, such as administration fee, costs for travel and living (including accommodation) as well as for acquiring a visa shall be covered by exchange students themselves. The home institution will only select students who possess requisite language skills for the classes they will be undertaking at the host institution. All students must purchase adequate medical health insurance that is valid during his/her exchange in the host country. Both institutions will provide students with an orientation and advise them on immigration and academic issues. Both universities will assist students in finding appropriate housing, either in dormitories or off-campus accommodation. Nominated exchange students shall have the same rights and responsibilities at the host institution as regular fulltime students of the host institution. Exchange students will be permitted to choose courses at the host institution which correspond to courses (in type and level) that they are required to take at their home institution. Credits gained by exchange students from the host institution will be transferred back to the home institution in accordance with its relevant regulations.

Student Exchange. (1) Japanese and German students who study at the host institution in the framework of structured exchange programmes will receive a tuition waiver, if agreed bilaterally by the higher education institutions concerned. (2) Exchanges will be arranged at the individual institutional level. Each participating institution will be responsible for managing its reciprocity requirements. (3) The host institutions will provide to the home institution a statement/transcript of study undertaken and/or credit point achievements of each exchange student.
