Work Zone Traffic Control. The Authority will coordinate with USACE to replace appropriate work zone traffic control signs during construction of the Project Elements and the Township Elements, as necessary.
Work Zone Traffic Control. The following provisions shall apply and shall be in addition to any other requirements specified under this Contract for the maintenance and protection of traffic, unless otherwise provided:
Work Zone Traffic Control. This section applies to all Contractors, as needed. If work activity is on or near a road, the Contractor and their subcontractors will comply with all applicable parts of the most current US Department of Transportation’s Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). If working in areas covered by state permits issued to the Company, Contractors are required to comply with the provisions (work practices and notifications) of the permit language.
Work Zone Traffic Control. Halff will provide standard temporary work zone traffic control consisting of cones and free- standing signage for this project in accordance with the TMUTCD. As exact test holes locations are unknown, certified traffic control such as lane closure(s), flag person(s), changeable message board(s), and/or arrow board(s), if needed or required by Fort Bend County, will be provided by a certified traffic control provider such as Houston Barricade and Supply. This Scope of Services does not include an engineered traffic control plan and if required for permit approval, Halff will notify Kavi and submit a supplemental agreement for authorization prior to proceeding with additional work. Halff will complete the Quality Level-C/D records research investigation within Forty-Five (45) calendar days upon receipt of written notice to proceed from Fort Bend County. Halff will complete the Quality Level-B Utility Designation investigation within Sixty (60) calendar days upon receipt of written notice to proceed from Kavi. Halff will complete the Quality Level-A Test Hole services within Thirty (30) calendar days upon receipt of the test hole layout from Kavi and approved permits from Fort Bend County and/or TxDOT. Due to uncontrollable factors such as ground conditions, weather, and safety hazards, Halff reserves the right to request more time to facilitate field efforts should one of these circumstances exist. Work performed in the right-of-way shall be performed Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 7 am to 7 pm barring foul weather. Work Zone Traffic Control. The Contractor shall perform the work so as not to unnecessarily interfere with, or delay any traffic, including but not limited to, vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic. On all Critical Roadways as listed in Section 2-07 (c) (5) of the Highway Rules, at least one lane of traffic shall be kept moving in each direction, or as provided for by applicable traffic regulations. On Critical Roadways, the work shall be performed so as not to interfere with traffic in any way during all or part of the period from 7am to 10am, from 3pm to 7pm and during any other periods of peak traffic movement. On other streets, if approved by the Engineer, the Contractor may be permitted to block all lanes of traffic on the street being marked during the marking operation. Where any crosswalk is permitted to be closed during surface preparation, pavement marking application and cure time, pedestrian steel barricades and a sign indicating “Crosswalk Closed” with an arrow pointing in the direction of the nearest open crosswalk shall be placed at the closure. In no case shall all parallel crosswalks be closed at two consecutive intersections (i.e., no pedestrian should have to walk more than one block to find an open crosswalk across the same street). Flagging and/or additional personnel may be required to assist in directing people walking. The Contractor shall enter and/or perform work on City streets with and in accordance with a Streets Permit, issued by the Department of Transportation, Office of Construction, Mitigation and Coordination. Work on any street must only be performed during the periods allowed by the Street Work Permit except when approved and/or directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall enter and/or perform work on highways and/or on roadways with and in accordance with a Limited Access Roadway Work Permit, issued by the Department of Transportation, Office of Construction, Mitigation and Coordination. Work on any roadway must only be performed during the periods allowed by the Limited Access Roadway Work Permit except when approved and/or directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall provide temporary traffic control in accordance with the most recent version of the national MUTCD. Temporary traffic control plans shall be prepared and provided to the Engineer. The Contractor may reference drawing TTC-1 as the plan for most typical situations, however, more detailed and complex plans may be required depending on the particular situation.

  • Traffic Control The Surveyor shall control traffic in and near surveying operations adequately to comply with provisions of the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI which can be found on the State’s internet site. In the event field crew personnel must divert traffic or close traveled lanes, a Traffic Control Plan based upon principles outlined in the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI shall be prepared by the Surveyor and approved by the State prior to commencement of field work. A copy of the approved plan shall be in the possession of field crew personnel on the job site at all times and shall be made available to the State’s personnel for inspection upon request.

  • Transit Traffic 7.2.2.3.1 CenturyLink will accept traffic originated by CLEC’s network and/or its end user(s) for termination to other Telecommunications Carrier’s network and/or its end users that is connected to CenturyLink's Switch. CenturyLink will also terminate traffic from these other Telecommunications Carriers’ network and/or its end users to CLEC’s network and/or its end users. For purposes of the Agreement, transit traffic does not include traffic carried by Interexchange Carriers. That traffic is defined as Jointly Provided Switched Access. 7.2.2.3.2 The Parties involved in transporting transit traffic will deliver calls to each involved network with CCS/SS7 protocol and the appropriate ISUP/TCAP messages to facilitate full Interoperability and Billing functions. 7.2.2.3.3 The originating company is responsible for payment of appropriate rates to the transit company and to the terminating company. The Parties agree to enter into traffic exchange agreements with third party Telecommunications Carriers prior to delivering traffic to be transited to third party Telecommunications Carriers. In the event one Party originates traffic that transits the second Party’s network to reach a third party Telecommunications Carrier with whom the originating Party does not have a traffic exchange agreement, then the originating Party will indemnify, defend and hold harmless the second Party against any and all charges levied by such third party Telecommunications Carrier, including any termination charges related to such traffic and any attorneys fees and expenses. In the case of IntraLATA LEC Toll traffic where CenturyLink is the designated IntraLATA Toll provider for existing LECs, CenturyLink will be responsible for payment of appropriate usage rates. 7.2.2.3.4 When CenturyLink receives an unqueried call from CLEC to a telephone number that has been ported to another local services provider, the transit rate will apply in addition to any query rates. 7.2.2.3.5 In the case of a transit call that terminates in the Local Calling Area but in a different state than the call originated, and the CLEC does not have an agreement with CenturyLink in the state where the transit call terminated, CLEC must execute an agreement for that state if it is a state served by CenturyLink. In the absence of a second agreement, the transit rate in Exhibit A of this Agreement will be billed to the CLEC.

  • Trunk Group Architecture and Traffic Routing 5.2.1 The Parties shall jointly establish Access Toll Connecting Trunks between CLEC and CBT by which they will jointly provide Tandem-transported Switched Exchange Access Services to Interexchange Carriers to enable such Interexchange Carriers to originate and terminate traffic from and to CLEC's Customers. 5.2.2 Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be used solely for the transmission and routing of Exchange Access and non-translated Toll Free traffic (e.g., 800/888) to allow CLEC’s Customers to connect to or be connected to the interexchange trunks of any Interexchange Carrier that is connected to the CBT access Tandem. 5.2.3 The Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be one-way or two-way trunks, as mutually agreed, connecting an End Office Switch that CLEC utilizes to provide Telephone Exchange Service and Switched Exchange Access Service in the given LATA to an access Tandem Switch CBT utilizes to provide Exchange Access in the LATA.
